Not monkey island Looks similar, feels like it should be similar, but doesn't play as well. Puzzles arent really puzzles. More clicking at random til you look at something relevant. Games quite short too.
Hmmmm.... Love cartoon/comic strip graphics. Some puzzles logical but still challenging bc you had to think outside the box. Some vaguely plausible so needed a walkthrough (lost a star). Some complete stabs in the dark beyond irritating as the character moves SO SLOWLY AND CANT RUN; repeating them till I got it right made me want to can it (lost another star). Ending was abrupt and complete letdown (lost a star), like the author couldn't be bothered finishing it.
Great mechanics, puzzles and story don't mesh well Unfortunately the game has the feeling that the story was written first, and then the puzzles were wedged in to fill in the gaps. Answers to some of them are illogical. Often I found myself knowing exactly what I had to do but didn't seem to have the right items in my inventory, and no idea where they would come from. In other games when you finally figure these things out you go "ah ha! Why didn't I see that before" whereas in Fusion it's more of a "Really? That's what you want me to do?" There are some mechanical inconsistencies, as not all people in the game can be conversed with (or are even clickable) There's no general "look" feature to get a description of the room/location around you. The game can be broken really into 2 "acts" one half in the 'poor' island and the other in the 'rich' island. The end feels like there was originally supposed to be 3 as it is quite abrupt. I feel like the concept of the story is REALLY good, but the storyline built out of the concept was quite thin. Overall I enjoyed the game. I most of it on a flight from Philly to Boston, and the rest on the return flight. Flawless execution on my Galaxy Tab 3.
Propaganda This is the most juvenile propaganda I've encountered in a game. Amazingly shallow. Plus horrendous spelling errors and faulty translation.
Not very engaging Graphics are not that polished and there are no sound effects, just text
Throw back to the classic adventure games If you liked the old comical animated adventure games like Sam and Max and Day of the Tentacle you'll enjoy this one. Good animation, intuitive interface, classic humor.
