Good example of the point and click puzzle/exploration genre. It's like a room escape game, but your "room" is two islands. In my mind, the difference between this and a "point & click adventure" is this game has no characters to meet, and no real narrative. The first version of this was quite short, but the expansion in the update really added some good content, and made it feel like the right length. The graphics and music are pleasant. Nice overall.

awesome game - point and click controls remind me of Myst, but the puzzles are much easier to figure out, in that it's much clearer what each puzzle's controls do. it was a little disappointing that the solution for area 13 was so specific, but that was the only puzzle I had trouble with. it wasn't *easy*, but it was quite doable without hints. it just needs patience and a lot of back of and forth work. overall, an excellent game. keep up the good work, Syntaxity!

The game has been added onto so it's not as short, and fast travel is free, so ignore that from old reviews. While The Lost Ship is fun (got it on sale for free), it's not as good as Blackthorn Castle. Some puzzles, like the water pipe and card symbols, are designed poorly. Looking past that, though, there's plenty of good content, so not bad overall.
