About this app

MindWave ’84 is an experimental audio console for generating binaural frequencies and meditative soundscapes. Combining pure tones, filtered noise and slow modulation, it allows exploration of relaxation, focus, and lucid states.

The app is divided into panels with specific functions. Use high-quality stereo headphones in a quiet environment.

🟢 Panel 1 — Main Console
Play / Stop
Play: starts the current session.
Stop: ends with a smooth fade-out.
VFD Display
IDLE – waiting
STARTING… – initializing audio
ACTIVE 00:12 – active session + elapsed time
STOPPING… – closing
Oscilloscope
Shows waveform motion and the current session title.

🧠 Panel 2 — Beat Sequencer
Up to four sound phases, each with distinct parameters.

Carrier (Hz): base tone. Higher = clearer; lower = deeper.
Beat (Hz): L/R difference → brainwave band:
12–8 Hz → Alpha (relaxed alertness)
7–4 Hz → Theta (deep meditation)
< 4 Hz → Delta (sleep/trance)
Duration (min): phase length; 0 = disabled.
Swap CH: swap L/R channels.
Phase Vol: relative tone volume (0–150%).
Phases change automatically with smooth fades.

🌬️ Panel 3 — Noise
Noise Type: Pink (warm) · White (bright)
Pan Mode: Tremolo · Autopan · Wobble
Rate (Hz): movement speed
Depth: modulation intensity
Width: stereo spread
Bias: L/R offset
Jitter: random variation
🕊️ Panel 4 — Session / Overlay
Master: global volume
Fade In / Out: session entry/exit time
Overlay Audio
Add external audio (bells, ambient, textures)
Params: Start · Every · Count · Gain · Fade In/Out

💾 Presets & Updates
Bundled presets (Alpha Gateway, Theta Portal, etc.) with Tibetan bells overlay.
On startup, the app checks for new presets online and offers to update.

Don’t use while driving or requiring attention
