Exactly as it says on the tin, this is a simple black screen with absolutely no clutter so that you can you can turn your screen black without having to lock your phone, which may stop some background apps from working. This also saves a huge amount of battery on AMOLED screens.

This app is completely ad-free, and does not require internet access or any special permissions at all, so you can sleep safe knowing that it is not uploading your personal information without your permission. It is also tiny, taking up less than a megabyte on your device.

Sometimes the simplest solution is the best. What I wanted was the ability to make the screen black with one touch, and bring it right back, without the lock screen. This app does that! I tried numerous apps and different settings, but nothing worked. And it was getting too complicated. Simple is good!

Using this app to prevent burn-in, since my screen needs to be turned on constantly for Samsung DeX to work while playing games. One issue you need to fix is remove the navigation bar. If you fix I will change to 5 stars.

I love the app but current version does not support full screen mode. On screen navigation buttons are still displayed when the app runs. Will 5* when this is fixed.
