DashClock is a home screen clock widget for Android 4.2+ phones and tablets, with lock screen support for Android 4.2-4.4. It also exposes additional status items called extensions. The widget comes bundled with extensions that give you instant access to:
• Your current local weather
• Missed calls and unread text messages
• Your next calendar appointment
• Unread Gmail inbox or priority inbox conversations
• Your next scheduled alarm
To add the widget to your Android 4.2 device's lock screen, first make sure that "Enable widgets" is turned on in your security settings. Then, simply swipe to the left-most page of your lock screen and touch the "+" icon. Finally, select "DashClock" to customize and add the widget. You can make this the primary lock screen widget, replacing the default clock, by first touching-and-holding it and then dragging it horizontally to the very rightmost position.

Hi Roman, I wanted to have a list from wunderlist in the lock screen of my marshmallow android phone, but I can only see it working in the home page screens. I can´t see it working on the lock screen.. no matter how I try. I even tried installing the "Better Dashlock Widget" app, that apparently I should pay in 24 hours. But still does not work. What should I do to have it working? please help and I will be happy to give you a good rating. Thanks

It was a great app when it was mantained and is still a good app (for what it works). Hope a fork will find it's way. Later edit: Or what if this ap was evolved to a full featured lockscreen replacement? I searched a lot about the ability to add widgets to the lockscreen on Android Lollipop and up but so far the solutions were inferior to what was found in KitKat and previously. Wouldn't there be a solution to turn this app into a fully fledged lockscreen replacement? Hope a good heart developer will read this and make this wish come true 😂😂

The home screen widget has stopped counting unread text messages of recent. Seems to be since google updated their SMS app. I've tried to email the developer about this but received an automated reply with links to report bugs. Said bug reporting link is apparently dead as it didn't load so I'm dropping my rating of this once favourite app

I can't figure out how to get this to work properly on my Galaxy S7 running Marshmallow. The instructions (swipe to the left-most lock screen...) just aren't applicable; if I enable the lock screen and swipe, I get a keypad and a prompt to enter my pin. All I wanted was to see the time at night while my phone was charging. I used to have that functionality with DockClock Plus, but that app doesn't work under Marshmallow. If anyone can point me to instructions as to how to properly enable this app under Marshmallow, please respond. (Well... you can't really respond, but you could post a new review...) Addendum: If you send an email to the developer, you get an automated response directing you to a website that no longer exists. (404 error) Not a good sign.

STILL no weather available!!!!!!!!!! I love this app, have used the widget for years now on many different android devices, and have NEVER had any problems with it at all, until recently... -The weather extension has stopped showing any info, just says unavailable instead... When I click on the link it still takes me to the correct place, but that's it.

I'd like to thank you for a few years of good service with this app. However, the weather feature hasn't worked for a very long time, and the newest version that was supposed to fix it didn't. Considering the only thing functional now is the clock, I'm having to say goodbye.
The UI is bare bones basic with no customization options. The weather widget doesn't work at all, and you have to have a second widget on your home screen to configure the first widget? Just really disappointing and clunky. Installed Chronus instead and it's 100x better.
Great but would love a few small tweaks Any way to edit the font size for the extensions like weather, battery info, etc. I like keeping a minimalist home screen with small lettering and this just looks bulky. Would be happy to give 5 stars if this is possible.
Its ok I use the other widgets without the clock. But does not count my mail. Maybe because I use blue mail as my default mail app. Another annoying thing is the color. Its not white, it's grey and not very visible. One more star if we get option to use color codes.
Great idea behind this! Having a widget that allows several apps to have access to the widget, therefore all displaying in one place is such a useful idea. It's a shame that more apps than are currently available can't display on the widget. Suppose the app dev can't be blamed for that though.
Looks nice, but can't get it to work I have 4.4.2, Samsung Galaxy 10.1 Pro. The is no Enable Widgets in my security settings. My Lock Screen settings has a option for apps, that doesn't seem to be it. Anyone know how to get it to Work?
Love the widget. The text message notification doesn't seem to support Google messenger well on my V20. It'll said message unread and open the stock LG app after I read a text in messenger. The weather doesn't update correctly. The alarm shows up correctly but won't open the stock LG clock app.
This app is promising, but it lacks the ability to customise the clock which looks ugly. I had installed it so I can have the Fitbit app on my lock screen, but the Fitbit extension doesn't work, and this feature was my main reason for installing this app. I also couldn't see a way to add it to my lock screen. I'm about to uninstall immediately after hitting send.
Weather never works. And if I can actually find an app that dashclock can use for weather (eye in the sky and amber weather) , it won't update. Just stays on the last temp that I manually updated.
Love everything about this besides the recent functionality loss with the stock Messenger app (Nexus 5x). API must have changed, as message counts don't clear unless you delete the text message.
Meh not really much but still good when it gives me the time. Nah I won't say anything special about this, but it's good and I won't get carried away about it. Just let me say this is a semi-great widget and we'll leave it at that.
Used to LOVE DashClock, but it's pretty useless now. Battery extension doesn't work, weather extension worked for a good 3 days. I'm not sure the developer is even actively looking out for the app.
The app does what it says and does it well. Though the weather interface needs a little work. I would love it more if you didn't depend on location and GPS. As we all know those Services drain the battery when turned on and you should be able to Simply tell it what city you want the weather for.
Practically Perfect The only thing I find really lacking are the colour/theme variations. If it were possible to chose a custom colour (via colour wheel) for the time and extension fonts it would definitely get 5 stars. The black and white are nice but as my lock screen wallpaper changes with each lock/rotation I often have trouble seeing the white on light backgrounds or the black on certain dark ones. Though It's not annoying enough for me to look for a different app.
Didn't work Didn't work on Samsung S7. Developers email only goes to dead links. Too bad. World have been neat. Will have to Uninstall and look elsewhere.
Best but need just 1 more thing Im having Android 6 and that's why it's not showing on lockscreen...i want it on lock screen too..plz give update about it.
Loved this widget but since none of the weather extensions appear to work anymore, I'll probably stop using it. Upgraded to Android 7.0 and now constantly get API errors on all weather extensions.
Decent widget But unfortunately badly placed elements cause widget to look very asymmetrical. Like 99% of widgets needs more serious work
Doesn't seem to work with Samsung's good lock I'm unable to add dash clock to the good lock app by Samsung (it allows widgets to replace the default clock on the lock screen). Otherwise, the app is perfect 👌
The weather doesn't show up for me for some reason! It says "No weather data available". I installed it after a long time as I really like the app, but unfortunately I had to bring down the rating because of this issue.
Best minimal clock and weather widget. I have tried paid versions of chronus, zooper, uccw, etc. But this is perfect. Edit: Weather won't work. Also I can't choose weather locations. Please fix for five star.
Needs some love on nexus I LOVE the idea of this app but please update the weather it is so frustrating that it doesn't work! Even after the update. This doesn't work and better weather doesn't work. Nexus 6 Android N please please fix and I will update my review to 5 stars
Was great, now partially broken This was my favorite home screen clock but the past few weeks the weather doesn't work on my Axon 7 or Nexus 6 both running marshmallow. Please fix.
EDIT: it's 2017 and DashClock is still my go-to clock widget. Kinda sad it's been abandoned. Still recommend it, though.
Rubbish. Doesn't load my location on Note 8 so failed straight away
No weather Great app, but the stock weather still doesn't work. I've been using BetterWeather but that no longer works. Seems weather extensions for this are a lot of trouble.
Landscape daydream bug Great home screen app but when using it with daydream in landscape mode the clock bugs and gets stuck to the side of the screen. If not for bug it would be 5 stars
Just one bug...or is it? When i apply the widget for the first time or whenever it disappear from the home screen on my marshmallow device for some reason, the widget does not appear or seems to be not working the first time you apply it.Going back to dashclock setting and reapplying the widget solves the problem. Still a great widget and I hope the dev look into this matter...will NOT uninstall because I love this app :>
A few issues then five stars If you could fix the portrait mode on the galaxy s6 and have an auto dimming feature it would be a five star app.
Not working properly on OnePlus three The weather extension is not working. It's just not taking input as any city and shows nothing if we put on automatic location. This is so depressing. Hoping to get an update to fix this issue.
Great concept if it worked consistently Great potential. However a few quirks.. Wunderlist settings stopped working. Weather does not updated on the home screen.
Weather still broken on lockscreen The temp now displays properly on the home screen widget but not on the lockscreen. nexus 6 with pure nexus ROM
Disappointing that it does not work on a Nexus 5x. There is no way to configure the app to appear on the lock screen as per the instructions. They should list the devices this app works on and/or does not - that would be helpful, rather than waste time trying to troubleshoot before realizing it just won't work.
What's going on? I just installed this on my S7 edge. Was working and now all of the sudden it won't display the clock. I checked the settings and there's no reason for this?!
