About this app

Muzei is a live wallpaper that gently refreshes your home screen each day with famous works of art. It also recedes into the background, blurring and dimming artwork to keep your icons and widgets in the spotlight. Simply double touch the wallpaper or open the Muzei app to enjoy and explore the artwork in its full glory.

Alternatively, you can choose your favorite photos from your own gallery or other apps to use on your home screen. To keep your wallpaper fresh, Muzei will rotate through your favorite photos every few hours.

Finally, Muzei is developer-friendly. All the code is available at http://code.muzei.co and Muzei even offers a simple API that allows you to build your own wallpaper source. For API details, visit http://api.muzei.co.

Images stretch across multiple screens. Other wallpaper apps give you the ability to fill, stretch your images, and choose aspect ratios. The app is nice just needs image configuration without the need to download another app to fix it. Its free so its cool, but would pay $5 just to fix the images correctly. Hope development continues.

As explained in our FAQ (https://github.com/muzei/muzei/discussions/711), Muzei always centers the image in the space your launcher provides. It has no way to know that your launcher has decided to show the image over multiple screens. Please contact at us at support@muzei.co if you have further questions.

It's really annoying that the wallpaper only lasts a couple of days on xiaomi. After that, the default wallpaper comes back. I have reinstalled muzei at least 5 times with no success.

Xiaomi has a lot of "features" which try to disable apps that developers cannot do much about - please read through the options available to users and let us know if any of them help: https://dontkillmyapp.com/xiaomi

Using it's main feature is easy. I love art and this app gives me exactly what I want! I just wish I could view the other images in the archive....

It is expected that you only see today's art in the Featured Art source in app, but all of Muzei's Featured Art is available on the website: https://muzei.co/archive
