Muzei is a live wallpaper that gently refreshes your home screen each day with famous works of art. It also recedes into the background, blurring and dimming artwork to keep your icons and widgets in the spotlight. Simply double touch the wallpaper or open the Muzei app to enjoy and explore the artwork in its full glory.

Alternatively, you can choose your favorite photos from your own gallery or other apps to use on your home screen. To keep your wallpaper fresh, Muzei will rotate through your favorite photos every few hours.

Finally, Muzei is developer-friendly. All the code is available at http://code.muzei.co and Muzei even offers a simple API that allows you to build your own wallpaper source. For API details, visit http://api.muzei.co.

Don't be deceived. This app has limited settings. The sources setting is utterly pointless and only links to the apps website where you cannot add sources. It claims to add a new image every day, but it only does this for a short period, then it grinds to a halt and you end up being stuck with the same image. Don't waste your time.

Fixed problems with stuck wallpaper. Both the app and any plug ins for the app that you use need to be placed in the hibernation ignored list on android. Otherwise this app is exactly what I was looking for with updated wallpaper.

Great app with great artwork. My only issue is recently it has not updated /changed the artwork each day. It seems to be stuck on the same painting which defeats the appeal of the app. Really enjoy the app aside from this bug

Amazing! It's one of my favorites android apps, but think this could be improved. I looked for an way to send you a feedback about it, but I didn't find it. So, is that possible to add the function to fav the wallpapers that you most liked, so they could be saved on the internal storage, allowing us to set the art as wallpaper whenever we want? I appreciate your initiative!

I love this app and thank you very much for fixing the bug with upgrading to Android 7.0. I have a question though, i tried setting my wallpaper to something else then back to muzei and i was able to get the wallpaper set to muzei but not the lock screen. Any idea how to do this on 7.0? Thanks

I really want to like this app, but for the past month I've been stuck with the same wallpaper and having trouble getting new wallpapers from Reddit source. Kindly fix this issue and I will gladly use this app again. Thanks.

Really like the app when it works but like so many others I find that I am unable to change to the next wallpaper either automatically or manually. I have the reddit extension for amoledbackgrounds and they have some terrific wallpapers but I've been stuck on Yondu and Groot for the last two days. Tried every way to get it to change, tried next artwork gesture in Nova, tried clearing the cache, tried everything except uninstalling and reinstalling and to be honest if I have to uninstall it to get it to work then I probably won't reinstall it. I guess I'll either see if the next update fixes it or uninstall it when I get sick of looking at Yondu and Groot. We'll see which happens first :)

Wallpapers stop rotating automatically after a couple of days and will only start again after clearing the cache. I love the app but this is annoying.

Love the idea but for some reason the image goes blurry after a few seconds so the app is useless. Fix that and it'll be my background permanently.

The only thing I would do is let the pictures scroll, or make it smaller so you can see the whole picture.

I'm having a frustrating time getting this app to load new wallpapers each day. Every new day I only see the wallpaper I used previously. I'm seconds from uninstalling the app.

Its good when it works but always stops refreshing after a couple of days. Reinstalled and same thing happens.

The app runs nicely for a couple of days until it sets a "partial" wallpaper with only a small strip of the original painting at the top of the screen and the rest of the wallpaper being black. Clearing data helps.

I've been looking for an app such as this for a long time. Great app to. For five stars I would like to see 1) possibility to center other spots in images and 2) possibility to select a folder, 3) easier scrolling of folders (can't fast scroll through thousands of images on a SGS7). Edit: well, then you get 4,33 stars ;-)
