Flawless Works great and very easy to use. Set it up to connect to a Raspberry Pi at my house so I can access network resources while not at home. It also provides a layer of privacy when on open networks that I don't have to wonder what the VPN provider is doing with my data once it reaches them. Data compression on mobile is useful too. Every little bit helps. Please put this on the Amazon App Store officially so I don't have to side load the apk onto my Kindle devices. Thanks!
Seems to work well and stay connected. It can't tolerate long periods of no wifi/mobile data or lots of network switching but not many VPN products can tolerate that. Was a little annoying to have the persistent Android System notification for VPN and a separate persistent notification for OpenVPN client. But as I understand it this is required for it to function correctly and disabling the notifications for the OpenVPN client doesn't appear to have harmed its functionality.
mbedTLS needs to be updated from 1.13.16 to 2+ to support ecc certificates. Setup entire architecture and infrastructure only to find out that I have to redo every cert in the organization because of vpn for mobile phones... Love Openvpn but tls encryption is the basis of what protects the connection. You really need to make sure that mbedTLS stays up to date. DNS push is also broken.
Great program, looses connection sometimes In today's world, a vpn is an essential tool for privacy. I wouldn't connect to a public Internet without one. Open VPN works well with my vpn service. I will like to see a temporary lock if vpn connection is lost or a warning popup. Other than that, this program is reliable, easy to use, and free to use, no force advertising that can hinder your mobile Internet experience.
Best in class client The server on my Asus router took me awhile to configure mainly because asus really suck at providing good content. However once I had the server configuration figured out OPENVPN is just simple to administer. I now have the client installed on android, it's and Windows machine and they connect and operate flawlessly.
This app is awesome, easy to get set up with existing profiles and stays running. The only feature I wish it had is the 'always on'. It would would be a nice quality of use improvement if it could remember wifi networks that are trusted ( home Network or corporate ) and auto disable the VPN when connected and auto re-enable when not
