Versions since November seem to bork my server every time. Was great before v x.23 now won't connect. Developer may know openvpn rules but has no idea how to implement for a large user base! All these unhappy users and developers could simply roll back version for the benefit of their users but won't. That makes a strong statement on top of the lack of testing or quality controls that caused all the unhappiness.
Having had the connection issues that others having I tried updating firmware on my vpn router (Linksys LRT214), performing a factory reset and configured everything again from scratch. Now I can connect again just as fast as previously.
Broken since 1.1.23. I very much used to rely on this app for work, but now I can neither connect to my work VPN server (the same TLS error as mentioned in other reviews) nor my home server (same "Connecting" loop as mentioned in other reviews). Please do fix; this used to be the best app on my phone, but not any more.
The app won't recognise the .ovpn file. I can see it in my file explorer but when I navigate to it's location, using the 'import from sd card' option, it simply isn't there. Samsung GS8, Nougat. All updates installed. Rebooted. Re-installed Connect. The works.
Update 20171108: Connectivity is fine for me, but the app still uses a light theme and the notification icon is totally whited out. Please fix. Original review: Works very easy to use. Set it up to connect to a Raspberry Pi at my house so I can access network resources while not at home. It also provides a layer of privacy when on open networks that I don't have to wonder what the VPN provider is doing with my data once it reaches them. Data compression on mobile is useful too. Every little bit helps. Please put this on the Amazon App Store officially so I don't have to side load the apk onto my Kindle devices. Thanks!
FINALLY fixed bugs introduced a week ago. Still doesn't fill me with confidence for the future but it's still miles better than my VPN's own app. UPDATE: Nevermind. Makes a shoddy connection. Rolling back to 1.1.17 again.
Changes from 1.1.23 to 1.1.24:
* relax the certificate validation in mbedTLS to allow certificates with broken date format to connect
* re-enabled deprecated and insecure md5 signature algorithm. Support for md5 will be officially DROPPED on Apr 31st 2018
Changes from 1.1.22 to 1.1.23:
* fix connection issues to servers supporting only TLS1.0, which was causing crashes on very old vpn servers (< 2.3.7)
Changes from 1.1.21 to 1.1.22:
* fix for importing profiles using external certificates
