Man this app is complicated! It “looks good” but it’s all over the place (preferences for this here, setting for that there, where are my favorites, how to save or review routes with waypoints, how to mofidy the order of waypoints, etc) . Way more complicated than it should. I like being able to download everything including maps and POIs but it’s super complicated to understand where everything is and how to do things. Not intuitive at all. No 3D navigation and after the voice tells me my distance for my route, no voice guidance (it’s there on the phone and not on mute). No response to my email from dev. Uninstalling until it gets better….was thinking of buying but oh well. Next.
Good, but UI is messed up Very long learning curve for messed up UI. Also sometimes this app goes crazy and starts rotate the map and don't stop. Sometimes map disappears. And map rendering needs rework - scrolling is no flawless.
Fantastic app Useful on trails, for planning, tracking, and excellent trail maps. Thank you! I hope future versions receive optimizations to the map rendering code, its a bit choppy.
Very similar in function and map quality to Map of UK but with a modern interface. I agree with others that the settings are all over the place and I hate the plugins list popping up - that should be under map management not on the main screen. The search function is similar to other OSM map apps and abysmally poor and hopeless. It desperately needs a postcode search function. Other than that pretty good and I've tried 6 similar apps this week!
Absolutely unintuitive controls. North up lock doesn't work. Can't figure out how to create a custom waypoint route easily without being bothered by changing a ton of settings. Why do things the easy way when they can be done the hard way, right?
Handy, offline, outdated maps It's the best map and navigator for offline use I've seen. The main issue: it doesn't download vector map from OSM server directly, it uses own server with cloned (and improved?) map, which is somewhere outdated (gap is from several days to half a year - checked my own OSM edits). Ones it costed me 1.5 hour driving (U-turn was removed from the highway and OSM, but left in the app's map). And rendering sometimes takes several seconds. ASUS Phonepad with Intel Atom, free version.
- New Wikipedia data structured by country and containing much more points than before
- Better routing recalculation (after several attempts engine suggests a different route)
- POI Search supports more specific queries (like fuel type and religion specific queries)
- Display turn arrows on route
- Orange color for POIs that are closed in 30 minutes from now
- Many fixes in different areas
- Additional favorites backup in case of application corruption or different issues
