I am a retired geologist, so no company name, no institution name, only a personal email. I will never stop wanting to reseasrch. And Google or Wikipedia is sometimes not enough. Theyiss the minutia and dive you the totally wrong results. The app requires you to answer a ton of questions about what papers you have written. A simple "None of the Above" would be nice. Or to let you put in your middle name to reduce the list. I still haven't been able to complete the application.

The bottom navigation bar of the ResearchGate app overlaps with the Android system navigation buttons, which makes the app almost unusable. It is impossible to switch between tabs (Home, Messages, Notifications, Profile) because they are placed exactly where the Android buttons are. This issue has been there for a long time and really needs to be fixed.

On Android 14 on Galaxy A55, I'm unable to save any downloads. I assume this is because the app doesn't ask for folder access when first run. Edit: I realized there is a way to save downloads by sharing with an Android file manager (Files, X-plore, etc), which has write permission for Downloads! A little bit tedious, but workable. Update: same issue now as (most) users, app crashes when either c of the full text download methods is invoked.
