What is Panchang?

• Panchang - Panchang is a Sanskrit Word. Panchang consists of two words "panch" means five and "ang" means parts these 5 parts are as follows: Tithi, Rashi, Nakshatra, Yog, and Karan. The basic purpose of Hindu Panchang is to check various Hindu festivals.

• Tithi - position of the moon at Sunrise. The calendar shows the ending point of time for the tithi that was active at Sunrise.

• Nakshatra - Position of the star at Sunrise. The calendar shows the ending point of time for the nakshatra that was active at Sunrise.

• Yog - Yog is a time period prevalent in a day and is calculated by adding the longitudes of the Sun and moon and dividing it into 27 equal parts.

• Karan - Half of the tithi, they are 11 in total and rotate.

The best. Clean interface, dates with event name and with relevant images makes it intuitive. I would live to pay for app to get rid of ads, but they aren't that frequent, so fine as of now. Thanks for fixing the notifications. Much needed.(oneplus 11, Android 14)

excellent traditional Hindu calender with the best part being: notification and vrat reminders. Although vrat reminder does not work in reality. Never ring or alert for any reminders. I am using Samsung Galaxy S9 plus and all the notifications and alerts are on active mode. Jai Hind.

Best Hindu calendar app I have ever seen. Everything is in a well organised manner. Best thing - only little ads and we can set reminders for events like Ekadashi. But the Festivals must be more elaborated otherwise everything is 5 🌟
