Fanatic open source app! Thank you so much for not including ads in it! It really let's my S6 Active shine over the stock camera. 4K is not natively supported, but you can force it in the video setting, along with frame rate and bit rate! HDR photo is also better than my stock app, which doesn't like to combine :P
Initially this looks like a great camera app, full of important features such as white balance control, exposure compensation but it lacks one of the most basic camera controls: control of the exposure. It is fully automatic and you have no control over it. It is, in fact worse than the default Camera app that comes with Android. With the default app you can at least control the exposure by using your finger and touching part of the image, this app provides no such feature. Very odd to omit such a basic function when the apps is full of other rich features. Update: I have discovered there is a menu option named "single click , double click , no click " to take a photo. If you see this to "no click" then you can apparently change the exposure by.toucking any point in the screen, but it doesn't actually works. It seems to adjust the exposure of the on screen live image, but the exposure selected is not applied to the actual photograph taken. Looks like sloppy coding.
Was working well on my Moto 3g but latest updates seem to have messed it up. Even though i have burst mode off it keeps taking 3 photos each time. One at normal, one darker, one lighter. Needs fixing. Getting a little fed up deleting the excess. Only started happening last couple of weeks.
Feature packed camera app. But on and off for the last month other apps have not been able to read open camera folder. What's the point in having a camera if apps like Facebook, eBay, Gallery, Google photos or even photos editors can't find them? I have emailed the developer about this two/three weeks ago now, but I've had no response from them! Didn't bother me to much as the next week it was all working! But over the last week it been working less than I've needed to, and it's starting to get to the point of looking for another app. Will be sad to say goodbye as have used this app and loved it for the last 3year + without problems 😉
Exellent noise reduction compared to my stock camera app. Produced better quality photos while using half the storage. My complaint is that the ui looks like its from 2010, especially when the image ratio is 4:3. Something similar to miui camera in terms of ui would be greatly appreciated Also, app is often slow and sluggish compared to others. Shutter sounds cannot be turned off
This was a great find. It works better than the stock camera on my phone and gives just enough controls to not confuse the user but keep things interesting. Why is the code hosted on SourceForge instead of GitHub? SourceForge has had a history of hijacking projects and messing around with them.
Improvements to HDR algorithm (problems with HDR photos coming out too dark).
Changing color effect or white balance is now faster, and no longer closes the popup (unless switching to manual white balance); for Camera2 mode, changing scene mode is also faster.
Improved performance when leaving Settings.
Pause icon now changes when pausing video (thanks to Johan Ejdemark).
Polish translation (thanks to Jacek Buczynski).
Various other fixes and performance improvements.
