Doesn't work on Huawei... The background process is killed by the operating system and the app isn't set up to recover from that. Other apps like WeChat work fine in the background. I've extremely carefully verified that all of the special Huawei battery management/background app permissions are permitting pushover to run, but it dies in the background after a few hours and never restarts. Not cheap. Haven't noticed many updates. Doesn't work at all for me.
It's simple and it does what it should do. No unnecessary bells and whistles. It's quick, too. I get my custom notifications without delay.
Not effective. Never received any msg on time
Have used it for a long time on many devices. Reliable and great value if you have a use case for it.
Repeating alarms for notifications would be better ice you don't hear the first one, keep notifying for x seconds, repeat x times, custom notification volume setting not just alarm volume
Have been using Pushover on iOS for a couple of years, now using it on Android and it works very well for me.
- Add an option to limit the number of lines shown per message in the message list
The Samsung push service provides the notification service on Samsung devices.
