The TI-8X series of calculators work great as standalone calculators, showing 8 lines of history, using standard mathematical notation. Each model was designed with more specific purposes in mind:

The TI-82 is designed for algebra and trigonometry. Graph and compare functions, perform variable substitution, and solve single variable equations.

The TI-83 is designed for statistics and trigonometry. Graph and compare functions, and perform data plotting and analysis.

The TI-85 is great for engineering and computer science. Graph and compare functions, perform bit manipulation and convert between numeric bases.

The TI-86 is great for engineering and calculus. Graph and compare functions, perform bit manipulation and convert between numeric bases. Solve differential equations, plot vector fields.

All models allow you to write programs in TI-BASIC and perform basic scientific calculator operations.

It might work but... First you have to find the TI rom you're looking for. Not a huge deal. You have to place the file on the root of any of your SD cards (internal or external). Then you go into settings and select your rom. The only problem is that the "cannot find rom" message that covers half the screen doesn't go away. Even after you're booted into and using the calculator.

The Deleporter

Phone won't open Rom file I am only giving it 1 star because for some reason my phone will not open the ROM zip file on 2shared or on the emulator site this app suggests. What am I doing wrong?

Bushido Hacks

TI-83 ROM Forever Frozen Don't press 2nd > Mem. You may regret it. Found another app that supports TI-89 Titanium ROM.

Excellent! Saved me from having to buy another ti-86. I already had the ROM file from an old one that had seen better days. Now with this app I am able to use my phone and tablet as one. Thanks!

TI can suck it! I've purchased at least 3 TI-8x's over the years and all of them died (screen failure). TI still charges over $100 for the same calculater it made over 20 years ago. WTF? Now I can give TI the "finger" and legally use the calc I bought three times over. No 4x AA batteries, No flaky screen issues, just a great working graphing calculator! Buy this and support the developer for making a rock-solid z80 emulator. *Note: you will need to dump a BIOS image from a working TI Calc ... Interwebs ...*

Pretty great Emulated TI83+ ran about 4/5ths speed against a real one on a Samsung Galaxy note 2. Only complaints: ROM search should be manual rather than automatic, and haptic feedback should either be weaker or customizable.

User reviews

Barebones Ti calculator Since it emulates a ti calc that means it takes just as long plotting whatever you ask it to graph - which is probably unavoidable. Considering those calculators' CPUs run at about 8 mhz I was hoping my phones dual core 1.4 ghz processor would make it instantaneous, but I can't fault the developers for for making it too similar to the original product. Would like to be able to load downloaded programs for the rom emulated so I won't have to type them in manually. Seriously best graphing calc available

Galaxy s2 The app only tried to find its own data to operate, with zero success of finding TI-82 ROM. This app is only a nonfunctional image of a graphing utility.

Works, but you need .ROM files What would be nice is to mention in app description that it needs .rom files. At first I downloaded and unzipped the files on the linked site, but since they were another type such as .82p, the application would not recognize then. If you don't know that (and you don't pay attention in detail to the small text line indicating it's searching for such files), the 1st contact can be frustrating...

Very convenient!! This is a very convenient app because you don't always have a calculator on you but you always have you're phone. The only bad thing about it and the reason it gets 4 stars is the battery usage. This thing suck battery like crazy. One say I used it for about an hour and battery stats said it used 22% of my battery. Overall great app though

Broken after last update Usd to be my number one calculator, and but after last update it freezes my phone until it reboots. Samsung galaxy note, running ics. Edit: after yet another system update from samsung the forced rebooting has stoppped. Problem solved for me

Nearly Perfect The very fact that apps like this exist only seeks to completely re-affirm that I made the right decision in buying an Android phone. The only thing that could possibly make this app any more awesome would be TI-84+ SE support.

Such Nostalgia! Easily the best calculator option for the android. As a math teacher/tutor, it is SO nice to have my TI-83+ on my phone! I am curious if it would be possible to utilize the CPU of the phone to work the emulator into an "overdrive" mode to improve to speed of certain programs and functions? That would warrant a "six stars" rating from me.

Nexus 7 GS3 Inspire 4g I've used this app for years now with a variety of devices and it always works great. Perfect for when you want to do your math homework but don't want to have to pull out your calculator. Just a word of advice to students though most teachers and professors still will not let you use your phone on a test for obvious reasons so make sure you have access to a real calculator.

Exactly what I was looking for! As an engineer I have grown very attached to my graphing calculator. I always seems to find myself in a situation where I need my calculator but do not have access to it. I have searched for years to find a good alternative before stumbling across TI emulators. After finding the right ROM ("TI-ROMPack.rar") I got this app working. I was tempted to purchase the AlmostTI application for $4.99 but found that it too required the Roms provided by texas instrument and was essentially the same application as this.

Good, but needs a reset button [If an emulated calculator freezes, then you may need to delete the RAM file!] An individual calculator can freeze, and so the emulator needs a reset button. I found the only way to reset a frozen emulated calculator (e.g. TI-85 with ROM 10.0 especially) was to locate the RAM file on sdram (e.g. TI-85.RAM, which AndieGraph creates into the same folder as the ROM file), and delete it. Also, the whole "Searching for ROM" mechanism is extraordinarily inefficient and slow, and burns off a lot of CPU cycles. A mechanism to simply manually select the location of the ROM file would be much better. Otherwise, great job!, this is a fantastic app. Keep up the great work. To those who complain about the ROMs not being included -- it's a legal/copyright issue, and it is not the author's fault! NOTE that this app will not (and cannot) support the Motorola 68000-based calculators (e.g., TI-89 Titanium, TI-92, Voyage 200, Ti-89) because they use a different CPU architecture. This app emulates Zilog Z80 calculators only (e.g., TI-82 to TI-86). For TI-89&Titanium emulation, try another app (e.g., Graph89) 5-Stars!

Awesome, but flawed While I miss the tactile nature of my old TI-85, this is still really fun and I'm shocked at how much of the programming language I remember (haven't touched it in 15+ years). Detected my 85 rom immediately with no fuss, and it appears switching between them is a piece of cake, too. The problem is that it likes to randomly corrupt the ram file it uses to store the state of the calculator, which results in a non-responsive UI/calculator. The fix this, you have to delete the .RAM file associated with your firmware (this is from the dev's website FAQ), which then effectively erases the memory. I've lost a lot of programs/time due to this =/

Great! (Though I'd like more customizations) I love that it's free other than needing a ROM. My old TI-83+ served me well for more than five years of heavy use in various classes in high school and college and turned out to even be useful for unexpected classes. While I no longer need its more advanced functions, I've found that it still has one of the nicest interfaces for actual math (for instance, the way it shows the equation as you entered it, the advanced settings like significant digits, and etc.) With this, I not only have my favorite calculator back, but I have it in a more compact and portable form on my smartphone and tablet. I'll admit though, I do kind of wish we could customize the look and feel a little more. I wish I could make the skin itself darker, but more importantly the screen is a bright white background. I threw away my calculator after getting the ROM a few years ago but I seem to recall it had an amber background (and I think a dark blue foreground?) Honestly rather than perfect emulation of looks I wish we could customize the colors a little bit. I'd really rather an inverted display at least, but full customization would really be nice. I'm just nitpicking though and it's a wonderful app!

Almost Perfect Still have the TI85 I got in high school in '92, but it has a dead horizontal line of pixels. This is much handier since I always carry my phone and/or tablet. Works flawlessly on my HTC Incredible. On my Asus TF700T Infinity it hangs (frozen with non-blinking cursor) about 30% of the time when I open it. Tried reinstalling and it didnt help. Sometimes have to force close and reopen several times before it works. Hopefully dev has an idea for a fix. Love it nonetheless

Thanks so much! You just made my day! This is the best, I have several programs that I developed for the TI 83 and the TI 84 to aid in the layout of sheet metal parts. I was looking for a programmable calculator for android, but none really fit the bill. Luckily, I backed up my ROM years ago and it works like a charm. I don't know where my cable is anymore. My programs prompt for the variables and auto magically spit out the data needed to layout cones and such. The best app ever!

.Ti 83+ and se no work Ti 83 works. But not the se and plus version. Tried diffferent roms too. Also it kills battery pretty fast

Works great once you have the rom file installed. No problems after getting the rom in. Thank you TI for allowing this app to stick around even if the conditions are annoying. Own two Ti-83s but tired of feeding them batteries. Not having any issues with the '2nd' 'Quit' lockup another reported so all good here.

It's a TI-86 Would not find the ROM when on the sd card of my S5. Tried several times. Finally copied file to root directory of the phone and it now works flawlessly...using the file on the sd card. Yup, in settings it shows the ROM on both the sd card and the phone and the sd card ROM is selected. Besides the wonkiness of the ROM it's really nice having a TI-86 on my phone and I suggest going into settings of the app and getting rid of the black border. A bit easier to use if you've got sausage fingers like me. Another fyi, a used TI-86 costs under $50 now. Just bought one tonight and there's lots of them there for that price.

Perfect TI Emulator Andie Graph perfectly emulates several TI graphing calculators. The keys are perfectly sized, and the interface accurately reflects the actual calculators. Developer shows a lot of hard with with this app! It clearly states in the app description that you must obtain your own ROMs.

Rom takes 20 seconds to download It is very useful, convenient, and has essential optns like locking backlight and zoom. Dnldng rom is as easy as a google search. B sure to extract

## Free Graphing Calculator

A powerful, flexible graphing calculator . . . and it's free!

Does far more than most of the paid calculators out there . . . let alone the free ones.

Features:

1) Scientific Calculator. Simple to grasp and easy to use, but powerful features are available when you need them. Available functions include the following:

• the usual arithmetic functions and exponentiation.

• square root, cube root, nth root, natural log, log base 10, log of arbitrary base, absolute value, factorial, permutations (nPr), combinations (nCr), modulus, random integer, bell curve, cumulative normal distribution, decimal to fraction.

2) Graphing. Capabilities:

• Graph up to four equations at once.

• Graphs are labeled.

• You can drag the graph or pinch to zoom in or out.

• Calculator can find roots and intersections.

• Graph in polar coordinates.

• Graph parametric equations

• Can graph implicit functions, such as x^2+y^2-4=0. Most calculator apps can't do this!

3) A unit converter. With a tap, you can enter the result of your conversion into the calculator. Currently converts different units of the following: acceleration, angle, area, density, distance, energy, force, mass, power, pressure, speed, temperature, time, and volume. Great for doing physics homework!

4) Constants for scientific calculations -- speed of light, strength of gravity at Earth's surface, etc. etc. etc. Tapping on a constant will insert it into your calculation -- i.e, you don't have to key in the value. Again, great for doing physics homework!

5) It can make a table of the values of a function you enter. You can choose the starting x value of the table, as well as how much x increases for each successive row.

6) Help screens linked directly to many of the available functions and constants. Tap the disclosure arrow to see the definition.

7) Forgot the quadratic formula? Or the double-angle formulas for sine and cosine? The math/science reference hits the high points of various subjects. Currently includes algebra, differential and integral calculus, geometry, trigonometry, vectors, vector calculus, and classical mechanics.

8) Statistics -- enter data and make a histogram, box and whisker plot, or scatter plot with optional regression line.

I'd love to hear your comments or suggestions. Because of spammers, my email address is not in this description, but it is inside the app, and it's great to hear from real users.

## Graph 89 - (with TI84 support)

Graph 89 is an emulator for the TI-83, TI-83 Plus, TI-83 Plus Second Edition, TI-84 Plus, TI-84 Plus Second Edition, TI89, TI89 Titanium, TI92 Plus and Voyage 200 calculators.

*Please remember to read the ROM section below before downloading this application!

It will turn your phone or tablet into an exact replica of your calculator. The emulator will provide the same functionality and generate the same results as your real calculator. Being ported to Android means that it will always fit in your pocket, have a backlight, be rechargeable and also run faster.

You would be able to install applications by copying the App file to the internal memory of your phone, pressing the 'Back' button and selecting 'Install Application/Send File'.

Graph89 would be great tool for math, science and engineering courses in high school, college and beyond. Some of these calculators feature Computer Algebra System (CAS) having the capability to simplify and symbolically solve mathematical expressions.

Graph89 combines two powerful emulation engines which make it the only app in the Android Play Store to support the full range of TI graphing calculators.

1) TiEmu - http://lpg.ticalc.org/prj_tiemu providing support for the Motorola 68K family: TI89, TI89 Titanium, TI92 Plus, Voyage 200

2) TilEm - http://lpg.ticalc.org/prj_tilem providing support for the Z80 family: TI 83, TI 83+, TI 83+ SE, TI 84+, TI 84+ SE

!!! IMPORTANT !!!

ROM:

Emulators are computer software which simulate a specific hardware. In order for the emulator to do anything useful it needs some software to run. The software that runs in your calculator (ROM) is copyrighted by TI, and as such, it can not be distributed by Graph89 or any other emulator for that fact.

This means that you will have to provide the ROM file yourself by extracting it from your own calculator. Transfer it to your phone, and then tell Graph89 where to find it. To extract the ROM you can follow the instructions from http://www.ticalc.org/programming/emulators/romdump.html and by using TiLPII from http://sourceforge.net/projects/tilp/files Google and youtube are also great sources of tutorials and help.

Wabbitemu http://wabbit.codeplex.com/ is also a great tool for extracting the ROM from your TI83/TI84

Supported ROM files:

TI89, TI89 Titanium, TI92 Plus and Voyage 200:

*.rom, *.89u, *.v2u, *.9xu, *.tib

TI83 Plus, TI83 Plus SE, TI84 Plus and TI84 Plus SE:

*.rom, *.8Xu

TI83:

*.rom

Firmware updates (*.89u, 9xu, *.v2u, *.8Xu) which are normally used to restore the operating system of your calculator can also be used as a ROM image.

Needless to say, you will be very disappointed if you purchase Graph89 without having the ROM file ready. You will just see some instructions and a blank screen.

-------------------

Graph89 needs permission to look at your Android Account in order to generate a unique ID shown under F1/About. This works only for TI89/V200. Note that there is no internet connection required for this App.

TiEmu, TilEm and Graph89 have been developed independently of Texas Instruments and are not affiliated with TI.

This app has two great strengths. First, it acts as a fine scientific calculator, but, more than that, it displays the intermediate steps of the calculations as you type. It allows the students to both watch and learn how the calculations are made and how to find the final answer. Second, the graphing ability is absolutely stunning! Not only does the calculator beautifully display the graphs, but it automatically generates the x- and y- values and displays them as well.

## Simple Graph Drawer Full

The program allows draw functions graphs in specified area. The area is defined by the X min, X max, Y min, Y max values and division values for X and for Y. Functions are defined by the expression string and color. You should click on function string in the table to edit it. Only "x" symbol should be used as a varible. After area and functions data input click "Redraw" button to draw it. On phones graph is drawn on a full screen. Via the menu You can maximize graph on the full screen, get help about functions, about program, save the graph as a picture or sent e-mail with it (with help of mail client app, such as gmail). The advertisement will be shown after the 5 redraws, and may be closed via the menu (or shown). And please, sometimes click advertisement - it may help for developer))).

## Graph It!

FEMA

GraphIt is a utility that is used to display on a Cartesian plane any mathematical function, which can be f(x)=2, f(x)=2*x, f(x)=sin(x) ecc... The management function is entrusted to you: you can add more or modify existing ones.

The integration of functions is facilitated by self-completion of statements, also expressions of the interpreter is very flexible and allows the inclusion of any function: even the most complex are recognized and interpreted correctly.

The main functions recognized are: abs(x), acos(x), acosh(x), asin(x), asinh(x), atan(x), avg(x1,x2,...,xN), ceil(x), combin(x,y), cos(x), cosh(x), e(), exp(x), fact(x), floor(x), lg(x), ln(x), log(x,y), max(x1,x2,...,mN), min(x1,x2,...,xN), mod(x,y), pi(), pow(x,y), rand(), sign(x), sin(x), sinh(x), sqrt(x), sum(x1,x2,...,xN), tan(x), tanh(x), toDeg(x), toRad(x).

The graph allows an accurate view of the trend of function at any point in the plane. You can zoom and pan through the classical gestures.

There is also a tool which can calculate the value of the functions included, given the value of x (via a number or expression).

## Beebdroid (BBC Micro emulator)

We grew up with the BBC Micro and we loved it, so we're bringing it back to the world!

See that Android phone in your hand? That's not Intel inside - it's powered by an ARM processor. The 'A' in 'ARM' stood for Acorn, a visionary British company that produced the seminal BBC Micro, and thirty years later - coming full circle - your phone hosts its venerable ancestor today.

Have fun reliving classic games from the 1980s, hosted by BBC Micro preservation website stairwaytohell.com - any questions, please email support@littlefluffytoys.mobi

Works at the full 50 frames per second on most recent powerful Android phones and tablets. This means anything significantly better than an HTC Desire or Nexus One (except, annoyingly, the brand new Galaxy Nexus, because it has the archaic GPU from 2010's Galaxy S pushing 240% of the pixels), or any Android 3.x or 4.x tablet. If you try to run this thing on something like a Wildfire or a ZTE Blade, please don't whinge to us that it runs like a dog - just go and buy a Galaxy S II already ;) It's an extremely faithful emulation, way moreso than other machines' emulators, but if you think you can make it quicker, get involved - it's open-source - code it!

Works with the specialised controls of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play (but doesn't run at 50 frames per second).

This FREE and OPEN SOURCE application - the source code is published on Github at https://github.com/littlefluffytoys/Beebdroid - is based on B-Em for Linux by Tom Walker and licensed under GNU General Public License v2.0 as detailed at http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-2.0.html - we encourage others to assist us in developing Beebdroid further. This program is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. See the license for more details.

Beebdroid does not ship with any third party programs such as games - these are accessed via third party websites which have hosted such programs for years. Should any licence holders object to third party websites providing such programs, please contact the third party websites in question. We are furthermore also happy on a best-effort basis to block the visibility of specific programs within Beebdroid upon written request from verified product licence holders. We are also able to offer an in-app payment solution for your programs in such circumstances - please contact us for details.

The rights to the BBC Micro ROMs are believed by the emulator community to have effectively fallen into the public domain, having lain unclaimed for many years - Acorn itself is of course long bankrupt, and the documentation for the rights is rumoured to have gone down in the World Trade Center on 9/11. If you believe that you have a claim to the ROMs that has never been disclosed to the emulator community, or indeed has never been proven under law, remember that this is a labour of love, a free and open source preservation effort, and so please talk to us in the first instance, cheers!
