Dealt into an obvious kokushi while pushing a 1 han garbage hand. 10/10 would recommend, only the important buttons of the UI are translated into English though. However, a lot of the untranslated terminology would be hard (or even harder) to understand for beginners even if they were translated. As players are mostly Japanese, people in lower lobbies (Ippan) have far more varying skill level (mainly more skilled players). Also the only good riichi client that isn't filled with anime gacha.

Welcome to Tenhou Mahjong, probably the closest you'll get to a near authentic game of Riichi Mahjong. The presentation is absolutely clean in terms of the board and the tiles. It is pure and raw mahjong that plays extremely well and smoothly. Unlike modern mahjong video games, it shows you the tile row instead of hiding it. If you're experienced with the game already, this is for you! But it doesn't hold your hand at all. No tutorials, basic English and an optional sub free. Or play with bots
