Review from Larry Holcombe
So sad. I checked this numerous times and it worked fine, but in the final hour of 2016 it would only lock up. I would say that their servers were overwhelmed by the amount people trying to stream.
After I opened this app it automatically went to a blank Internet page. Then I noticed it installed another app, without my permission. This happened in a matter of milliseconds. When I attempted to remove the uninvited app it only gave me the option to disable it. The permissions, as is the app, are invasive , a sneaky way it install crap.
Didn't do anything I couldn't get it to show any sort of video or ball drop...the only thing that worked was the countdown by time zone. Lame.
The worst way to start the new year. The live feed cut out just before the countdown and didn't come back for several minutes. Very disappointing and unreliable.
Problems this year This app worked great last year. But now it's wanting Adobe Flash installed. Unfortunately Flash is not supported on Android devices. Seems kind of stupid for an Android app to want Flash.
100% junk... I tried to use this last year also and it didn't work. Figured I'd try this year seeings how they had an entire to fix whatever was wrong with it. Its all over the internet to download this app to watch the ball drop from time square and these ppl are too sorry to get it up and running correctly.
While it let me set my time zone and the countdown at the top of my screen reflected such, the video replay was tricky because it started about a min & 1/2 before midnight. Had to pause video at 1 min then watch for the timer to get to 1 min then resume video. I was expecting a time delayed video. Timer seemed a few secs ahead of Nashville's note drop.
