This is visually based off of the NES Mega Man series to the point where the font is ripped straight from the NES games and the sprites feel almost ripped from the games. To go with the visual style is the music which is almost better for Factorio than this assinin game. The cherry on top is the stolen controller layout and the almost NES emulator-like feel. In short, if you're bored, don't have an NES or NES emulator, and craving some Mega Man action, this is the game for you. I hope to see the controls mastered, sprites use better palettes, and for the story not to be based on the Mega Man C series in the next game.
Seems good so far, a big plus for the control pad support. I love megaman ad this has that intended feeling, however (constructive criticism) its not hard enough for a megaman game, and that's my biggest gripe. If you are still developing i would like to request wall jumping featured in megaman x games, I love games that have wall jumping and ramp up the platforming difficulty. Health also seems to last forever rarely entering past losing the first health bar except when fighting bosses. Mining enemies for health used to be a thing in the old nes games
This is a amazing game, this looks like something Capcom would make, also I love how you added a whole bunch of new mechanics that are different then from what we all would see in a MegaMan like game, plus the bosses and levels are very unique and challenging, this is literally the best MegaMan fan game I've ever seen, and you know what, I might actually prefer this rather than the actual Mega Man games, and that's saying alot, so you did a excellent job I can't wait to get the sequel, and I hope there will be many more sequels to come
The game freezes after I change the input and try and go back to the main screen. Also the on-screen buttons don't hide after selecting that option like they do on rockbot 2. I really like this series and the dev is a really nice guy.. But it's just disappointing how buggy both games are. I understand rockbot 2 is in beta but it seems to have made little progress and I can't get past the first screen. And then the issues with this. I keep giving it time and just hope the issues get sorted out and we a he a game that's at least somewhat playable. That's why I make sure to report them, to help you out. And the reason I left a 3 star review and not a 1 star review is because you seemed to be a nice guy. Anyway, I meant after I change the controller input.. Like what buttons do what. I called it "the input" because that's what the option is called in the game.
Thanks. The bosses and enemies were sorta easy on any difficulties, but I loved mega man and this takes me back. Does anyone remember roc and roll?
It's like training wheels for MegaMan I've beaten his entire game but I haven't beaten 1 master in Megaman 2
- fix ending not showing player walking
- add Mega CartMan to credits (sorry I forgot)
- fix flying-type bosses moving to the ground on presentation; it should stop half-height of the screen
