The Ventilator Calculator will provide initial ventilator setting is based on the patient’s ideal body weight, and a normal metabolic rate. The ideal body weight can be calculated by using height in inches or centimeters. You may choose the normal 7.25 ml/Kg setting, or choose 10 ml/Kg, 8 ml/Kg. It will also provide you the option of the ARDS protocol settings of 6 ml/Kg or 4 ml/Kg. The Ventilator Calculator will also provide a suggested respiratory rate bases on normal metabolic rate at sea level. However, as with any suggestion, the patient’s current clinical status must be considered when setting the initial respiratory rate. As an example, an individual patient in sever metabolic acidosis would need a greater respiratory rate then an individual being recovered from surgery. Therefore, clinical evaluation of the situation would suggest you increase the respiratory rate higher than that suggested by the Ventilator Calculator.
The correction section of the Ventilator Calculator will give suggestions of corrections based on the patient’s current condition. If, therefore, the patient’s condition is steadily worsening, then the Ventilator Calculator will help, but will not provide long-term answers to the worsening patient’s needed. However, it will correct for the patient’s needs at that moment, helping you stay up with the patient’s quickly changing needs. In such a case, serial blood gases will be required, and corrections taken until the patient’s condition stabilizes.
The Ventilator Calculator is an excellent tool, and can improve your ability to tailor the ventilator settings to a patient’s condition. However, your clinical evaluation of the patient’s condition and the Physician’s direction will always be required in excellent patient care.
Ventilator Calculator is designed by a Respiratory Therapist for Respiratory Therapists.
“Drink 8 cups of water a day for slimmer and healthier body.”
“Eight cups of cool water a day is the best medicine.”
“Drink 8 cups of water a day for plump skin.”
“Drink 8 cups of water a day to fight disease.”
“Water promotes fat burning and metabolism for weight loss(diet).”
“Drink 8 cups of water a day to prevent cold.”
“Water is the best medicine for the skin.”
“Drink 8 cups of water a day and live healthy.”
These are the positive functions of water introduced by the press and various health columns.
Water is the major component of your body, especially the blood and the lymph, that maintains stable body temperature and creates healthy skin and muscles.
It is also deeply involved in the metabolism of your body, such as digestion, absorption, circulation, and discharge and works as the lubricator for your joints.
Water takes 60-85% of your body and you will feel severe thirst and pain if you lose 1-2% of it and you cannot survive even a week if you can’t drink water at all.
You lose a total of 2.5ℓ of the moisture in your body a day – 0.6ℓ through respiration, 0.5ℓ through evaporation on the skin, and 1.4ℓ through bowel movement and urination – but only 1ℓ is supplemented from food intake and the metabolism.
Therefore, every adult needs an average of 1-2ℓ of additional water a day; according to the statistics, however, adults drink only 0.6ℓ of water a day in average.
‘Slimming Water, Healthy Water’ reminds you to drink water, the essential component of your body, regularly.
✔ It helps you to set a goal to drink water.
✔ Use the graphic UI on the screen to easily enter the amount of water you just drank.
✔ Open the calendar to select a date or view the amount of water you drank each day.
✔ You can check the list to keep a track of how many ℓ of water you drank every hour.
✔ Use View Graph feature to see your achievement and its trends compared to your goal.
✔ Set the alarm for up to 10 times a day to remind you to drink water.
Now, stay slim and healthy with ‘Slimming Water, Healthy Water’!
Studies show that preanalytical errors are the reason for 62% of all errors in laboratory medicine . "The diagnostic consequences depend on the magnitude of the preanalytical error. In worst case, these errors may lead to mistreatment of patients; in all cases, these errors are an extra workload for the hospital staff involved" .
This app focuses on the preanalytical phase of blood gas testing and what operators can do to avoid errors. The recommendations are based on existing literature and international best practices.
Examples are constructed, unless specific reference is given, with the purpose of illustrating the consequence of preanalytical errors.

The handbook part describes several types of errors that can occur during and after sampling and gives tips on how to avoid such preanalytical errors. As a key feature, the handbook section contains videos showing how to properly collect a blood gas sample by arterial puncture, through an arterial line or by capillary sampling.
Exceptionally high or low values of a given parameter may be due to one or several types of preanalytical errors. The troubleshooting section is a good tool when you are experiencing difficulties evaluating if measured results reflect patient status or if a preanalytical error may have occurred.

It is already known about a WiFi bug on T-mobile G2x
devices. Apparently the problem is caused by a wrong DNS configuration when disabling and enabling the WiFi connection, or after rebooting the device.
Some users fixed it by rooting their phones, but that will VOID your warranty. If your warranty is expired (I really doubt that), go ahead root it and stop reading NOW.
For those that want to keep their phone on warranty keep reading.
This bug is really annoying, but this app will let you use WiFi connection without rebooting or rooting my phone (which as I mentioned, will void the warranty).
Download it, read the tutorial and fix this annoying bug/problem.
Just review the tutorial and follow the easy 4 steps.
I own a G2x and works for me like a charm.
Hope this help you.
NO ROOT NEEDED! SO DO NOT VOID THE WARRANTY ON YOUR PHONE!
