Still having some issues on both tablets. I deleted the Wild Edibles Images folder, then uninstalled and reinstalled the app and redownloaded all the images. When I click on an entry, it continues to say, "Failed to retrieve image." And, of course, there is a white space where the initial image should be. However, when I swipe that blank image to get to the secondary images, some of them appear, but not all. Interestingly, of the secondary images which do appear, they are the same on each tablet even though the tablets are of different makes and different Android versions. One is an Acer A510 running Android 4.1.2. The other is a Samsung GalaxyTab2 running Android 4.2.2. The images which do appear are fantastic and I love being able to zoom in on them. Just wish that I could get all the images to appear.
Don't upgrade if you haven't yet. The pictures only start downloading when you go to use them. For me that's in the field when I'm away from an internet connection. There should be a way to download them ahead of time but if there is it's at the bottom of a menu that won't scroll. Basicly as it is this app is unusable until all the pictures are downloaded, which has to be done one by one. I'll update this when it's fixed.
Photo problems (fixed) If this app is anything like the lite version, it must be extremely informative, helpful, and easy to use. Sadly, there are problems downloading the photos and it renders the app impossible to utilize. **Edit: recent update fixed the problem and now the app is great! Thanks guys!
Great app. But I'm not a vegan. Great app but I don't realy like that all the recipes are vegan. I live in podunk usa. We don't have all that wierd sub crap that vegans eat instead of real food. I can figure it out but that aspect sucks. It just seem pretentious.
Pictures issue fixed:love it! Originally there was an issue with the pictures which also prevented the user from getting the text, but that seems to have been fixed. It's working just fine now and has TONS of useful information. The pictures are great and the layout is pretty intuitive as well. The developer also directly responds to issues, so I'm very pleased.
Thanks for the fix When I first downloaded the app it wouldn't download the pictures. Since the fix it works great. Thank you
Bulk high-resolution image downloader has returned, but its use is OPTIONAL.
By default, images for plants will download and save to your SD card the first time you access them, so that on subsequent views, no network connection will be required.
However, if you want to be able to use the app with no network coverage and have ALL the high-resolution images ready to view, open the menu and select "Downloads" after the app is installed to receive a bulk download of all images.
