The most spectacular file manager app I have ever used, and it happens to be free with no ads. (As of April 26th 2017) As someone who's phone came prepackaged with a horrible ad riddled file manager this app is a lifesaver and the extra features and developer integrity make the pro version a worthwhile purchase. Keep up the good work.
Outstanding File Manager! Only thing I don't like about this app is.. if I choose .folders or any other folder located in android folder or any other system folder to show thumbnails, it's adding those thumbnails to mobile's gallery too unlike other File Manager apps, which nobody wants to make it visible in the gallery, and it's really annoying. But I'm sure you guys will fix that. Anyways you guys deserve all 5stars for this great app!
For people who have access denied problem there is nothing wrong with the app. From Kitkat onwards Apps doesn't have direct right permission. You have to enable it. Open FX>Open SD Card> Select the option (3 horizontal dots on the top right)> scroll down the option tab> enable write access> Select SD Card and Enable it. Now you won't have the access denied problm
Nice explorer, but does not handle photos well: thumbnails are possible to zoom in, but not more then 2x size. problems loading thumbnails in large and hidden .folders, no preview of selected photos available in multiple-select mode - not good for handling photos
Was great, until SFTP stopped working and had to reinstall. When checking network status, crashes. The rest of the file manager is awesome, disk mapping and ultra theme customizable.
For years, ES File Explorer was my favorite, but this app has a much better interface. Especially on my tablet. ES interface on my tablet seems to be a blown up version of the phone interface. It doesn't make sense on a large screen. Until recently though, ES File Browser was more reliable when copying multiple files and moving them around. Now it seems that this problem has been resolved for FX. It's become my main file browser now. I do wish it had an even larger image viewing mode in the browser where images could be even bigger. When browsing images, the biggest possibility is still not big enough. Also, the image viewer has problems with zooming. It zooms in and out so fast that it's hard to use. I actually use ES image browser while using FX Explorer! ES still does that better. ES also is better with the clipboard. With FX Explorer, you can't pick and choose what to paste from the clipboard. It's all or nothing. That's not flexible enough. Otherwise, it's excellent. I like the split screen option and use it a lot.
Long press menu for storage/media homescreen items now includes basic usage plot.
SSH FTP improvements: opening default (home) directory. Support for services that don't allow browsing root directory (e.g. rsync.net).
Bugfix for using network/cloud connections while tethering is enabled.
