We, that is two old vets, one from the Korean and the other from the Vietnam conflict have spent many an hour playing Sticks with our fellow service men and women and fishing, drinking and hunting buddies as well. We have played in barracks, saloons and fish camps here and abroad when completely sober and when slightly inebriated and some times a little more than slightly inebriated. Those of you who have had the honor to serve this great country of ours may have found yourselves in situations in the service where you spent a lot of time in replacement depots or what ever they call them these days, we have, and games like Sticks helped fill the seemingly endless time we spent in those situations.
We learned the game at Fort Lewis Washington in the spring of 1953 from another service man whose name unfortunately we can not remember. In all of our travels we have never found another person that knew of the Stick Game, except for that one GI in Ft Lewis Washington. In our travels we have never met anyone that could beat us at the game consistently either; in fact we usually managed to drink free most of the time.
One of the problems with the Stick Game is that you have to find 15 of something to play the game with, some objects are too small while others are too large or are hard to pick up or even may not stay put on the playing surface. We have solved those problems, Sticks 15 is now available as a Android application, if you have your phone with the Sticks 15 Android App downloaded you have the game with you at all times. All you need is an opponent.
So download the Sticks 15 App for less than a cup of Jo and start impressing your friends with your new game. By buying Sticks 15 you will be helping out two vets plus 25% of our profits will go to The Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org).
