We Believe...
• Swiping, tapping, and waiting for screens to load is slow
• A universal search UI can fix this problem
• Android was always meant to be an open system
• The raw data to build the most powerful universal search is there, but no one has stitched it together into a smooth experience
• Respecting user data = long term success. Your data stays on your device. We don’t store it. We don't sell it. (see exceptions for bug fixing below)
• We make money by making a good product. Sesame is a 100% voluntary purchase
• In user centered development: www.reddit.com/r/sesame

Useful search/shortcut tool but VERY annoying that it tries to refresh shortcuts so often. Seems like it's everyday that I have to go into my settings and restore a backup of the last time I manually turned off all the shortcuts for apps that I don't care to have shortcuts for. I use MacroDroid to automate the daily resets to a backup, but with 6+ months of working around this bug and no fix in sight, I am hesitant to continue using this app.

I don't leave many reviews but felt this was necessary. I just paid $3.99 for the full version and the first shortcut I went to setup afterwards required another $1.99 purchase. If you feel like paying for something, then paying for it again, then this is the app for you. I have never before purchsed an app, only to get hit with another purchase option immediately afterwards, simply trying to do what I thought I just paid for. I'm not sure if I paid the extra $1.99 if that was it or maybe the next time I tried to setup a shortcut they would want $2.99. I was happy to pay for the app but very unhappy that I couldn't use it without paying again. Never really got to try out it's functionality, so can't comment on that.

Hey Dave, sorry about that. It does sound like a bit of a bait and switch. FWIW there's 5 years of work in Sesame and we've struggled to monetize without annoying people. Both purchases are optional and Sesame has an unlimited free trial. We only want people who love it to pay. Happy to refund you. Shoot me an email phil@sesame.ninja

The app itself is pretty good, but it has some bugs that make it unusable. For starters I simply cannot purchase it after the trial ends. I have tested the same payment method with other apps in the Play Store and the problem is exclusive to Sesame. Besides that, some app integrations seem to not work at all. I cannot link either my Telegram or Reddit acounts. So yeah, would love to be able to use it, but just can't. Maybe it'll work in a future update
