This app is undeniably useful especially the integration of app shortcuts. I am just quite shock about the Activation Price which is $3. I think the said price can't give justice to Sesame Shortcut app's features at the moment. The app lacks of most important features just like search results of - Files (Filters like documents, docx, ppt, pdf), Photos, Videos. If ever this suggestion of mine will be implemented in the near future, I will surely pay for the Activation or paid version of the app.
Third update to give Sesame five stars. Amazing app, great support from the dev. Takes a while to get used to but is very productive. My only complaint is the price, $3.99 is a lot to ask for what is basically just a plugin for another launcher. Judging from other comments if it were lowered to $2.50 or less the Sesame team would probably see sales sky rocket. ;-)
Well $3 is not a small amount. But it is not expensive either. Some of the reviewers here may not be 'power users' of Nova launcher. Therefore, they feel that it is just a small add-on. It is a minor add-on I agree, but one which will significantly change the way we use Nova launcher. After getting used to Sesame shortcuts, your experience with Nova Launcher will not be the same again. And I can see the developers are trying very hard to push updates to reduce all the bugs. They are active on Reddit. What I can suggest to the rest is go to YouTube and learn how to use Sesame from there. Just spend 10-15 min will do. Great app. Or go to Reddit and ask questions there. Once you know how to use it, using Android and Nova Launcher will be very pleasant. And nowhere iOS can come near.
It's a great idea. Hope you'll support more apps in future. I hope you add support for audible, kindle poweramp and Adobe Acrobat 😛 because these are the shortcuts I really want. I know the screen edge feature is in beta stage but there should add an option to change its place. The screen edge option conflicts with the other scrolls. Amazing app ;-)
Action launcher has the peep pop up on every app whenever their is a notification for that specific app i.e Android O like feature. The moment you give that feature I would pay you that very moment. Still a long way to go.
Fantastic app that I snagged with the intent of creating custom shortcuts. Be aware, custom shortcuts are for *developer supported applications*. This doesn't allow launching straight into user specified, application intents if that was what you had in mind. No regrets, I still purchased it, I just hoped the "create your own shortcuts" was more powerful. Small frustrations: It creates some shortcuts automatically (e.g. chrome) based on your history, but you can only delete them one by one with an "ARE YOU SURE?!" prompt. Ouch. Edit: Developer responded; I am hopeful for this feature to exist in the future.
