About this app

Stand where history happened. See it come back to life.

TimeLens reconstructs lost history as immersive 360° panoramas in augmented reality, viewable right on the spot where they once stood. Open the map, find a TimeSpot, and when you reach it, look all around to see the place exactly as it once was: the buildings whole again, the place full of life, with a narrated story at your side. Visit a TimeSpot once and it is yours to keep.

What time made invisible becomes visible, right where you stand. This is history you witness, not history you read about.

• See it in full 360°. Every location is a faithful reconstruction built on real evidence, complete in every direction you turn.
• Hear the story. A narrated guide tells you what you are seeing, like a personal historian beside you.
• Go on the hunt. The map turns historic sites into a trail of discovery, and reaching each one rewards you with a window into the past.
• Collect and replay. Every TimeSpot you find joins your collection, ready to replay whenever you like, wherever you are. Unlike Lord Elgin, you do not need to break anything to take it home.
• No goggles, no barrier. Experience it on your phone, alongside friends, family or your guided tour.

Perfect for history and heritage lovers, museum and culture fans, travellers and the endlessly curious.

Live now: ancient Athens and New Amsterdam as it stood in 1660, with new locations from every era added as the map grows.
