Good app, but... How do I get this on multiple devices without have to pay for it multiple times? I have it on my phone and want to enable it on my daughter's tablet. It is an amazon Kindle (downloading via google play) and it is still asking for payment. EDIT: I want to thank the developer for his quick response to this issue. Unfortunately the only solution did not work out as hoped. This product works perfectly on my google play eligible devices. Kindle needs a separate download through the amazon store as of right now. Oh well, but this is a truly fun product when you see your 12 year old bouncing around her room dancing to her favorite songs and the lights going crazy. Worth the money!
I've been using this app since I got my hue lights setup the other day and I feel very confident so far that I spent my money right considering the heaps of other Phillips third party apps out there. I hope more themes will be integrated into the app as it goes. My only issue (small detail I have seen stated) is that when I am done using the app it just stops at whatever color was on at the time. It would be really awesome it the lights defaulted to a standard setting of "on". Other than that I have no complaints. Thanks for making an awesome app sir or madam.
Love this app. My two year old daughter loves this app. She always asks me for a dance party. If I don't use this app with our lights when I play music for her she says "dada where's my lights?" and won't dance without them. My friends are impressed as well when I use this app. One thing that would make this app even better is if you could make widgets for the disco, strobe & mood setting.
This app is by far the best disco type app for Philips Hue lights. I looked at free alternatives but there is no comparison between them and this app. The BPM control, microphone control and strobe mode is excellent. A feature I would like to be added is media playback right from the app, with integration into Spotify. This could process the audio in a way similar to the microphone mode, but MOST IMPORTANTLY could look up the tempo of the song using an online service or detection algorithm (like desktop DJ applications do) to adjust the BPM when a song changes. This would make this app 5 stars.
Better than the Official App I really like this app so far. The only problem I have with it is when you attempt to create your own color scheme. The color picker isn't all that accurate, as in it has a brightness slider that is slightly confusing and I can't select any colors that are from teal thru green. They just go from a whitish to yellow, with very little difference with the slider in different spots. Other than that, its great!
If you have hue colour lamps you need this app. I have three colour lamps set in paper lanterns and use the colour gradient setting under the mood tab. It looks awesome in my gazebo. The only thing that I don't like about this app is that while the colours randomly and slowly transition from one to another you can't exclude white as one of those colours. A small complaint I know but it doesn't stop me from rating it 5 stars- it's that good.
