About this app

With the Festival App you will get everything out of your festival experience! With the Light
Walk, you will get an audio guide, artwork descriptions, route map with gps location,
interesting technical facts about the works, artist biographies, and exclusive restaurant
deals. Amsterdam Light Festival has been illuminating the city since 2012. As a cultural
foundation that receives no structural funding, we are dependent on the contribution of our
visitors.
THE APP:
- The home page features news items and important updates about the festival.
- In the menu, more information can be found about Edition 14, the experiences and
practical matters.
- Through an in-app purchase, the route map with artwork (and/or restaurant) information
becomes visible.
LIGHT WALK
- This is the standard way to walk the route, including a route map with location services.
- Users can swipe between artwork icons. Tapping an icon reveals more information about
the artwork.
- For every artwork there is an audio guide and additional written information.
- Information points and takeaway offers are als indicated on the map.
- By zooming in, street names and other reference points become visible.
FOODWALK:
- This year, there are 6 Foodwalks, each with a different theme
- Every Foodwalk includes the Light Walk (see above)
- Including different take-away bites and/or drinks
- Collect them with the in-app punch card
KIDS WALK:
- Walk the entire, or just half of the festival route
- Includes comprehensible artwork texts and fun facts
- Find the fireflies on light boxes near the artworks
- Cross these off the in-app punch card
- Pick up a small prize een prijsje op bij een van de infopunten op de route
