History: Why and how was the saxophone developed?

Biography: information about the background, living conditions and instrument development of Adolphe Sax.

Standard fingering charts: how do you play which notes on a saxophone? Explained with clear and detailed fingering charts.

Alternative fingering charts; in some situations it's better to use alternative fingerings. We explain in which situations and which alternative fingering to use.

Maintenance: How do you maintain your saxophone in order to enjoy it as long and as good as possible?

Special saxophone techniques: flatterzunge, toptones, multiphonics etc. They are all explained, where necessary, with clear examples and references to literature or fingering charts.

Reeds: which reeds do you buy and once you bought them, how can you adapt them so that they fully meet your requirements?

Mouthpieces: detailed information about the operation of mouthpieces, which mouthpieces there are and information about how mouthpieces have evolved over the years.

Metronome: A simple metronome. No bells and no whistles. Choose BPM, define the volume and play!

Transpose: the 'secret' of transposing instruments is explained in a simple way. Including transpose tables.
