Simple & Solid Downloaded this app while waiting for a friend to show up for a few hours of cycling. Had it installed and recording our route in less than a minute. Ran it for 4 hours straight with no issues. Only ate up 20% of my battery (nexus 4) over the course of the ride. Had my route exported to a file and loaded into Google maps with no troubles. Great app.
Worked perfect for me Used it for the tracking feature in an area with no cell coverage on my Samsung galaxy S4. Went 167 kms on sled, tracking feature worked flawlessly, was much impressed with it. Vast majority of time was out of cell range , had S4 in front pouch of riding jacket, and it still worked. Allowed us to follow our way right back home. Trip took 6 hrs, phone was at 100% power when we left, phone still had 30% power when I got back to the truck.
Good app, lacks good data screen Great tracking appp. I really wish it had a bike computer screen that showed all the stats data in large numbers (without the silly graph). Stats screen is tiny text which is impossible to read while in motion. Speed/dist overlays on map are ok but still pretty small and only current spd is shown (no max, avg, etc.). Also, distance overlay doesnt update properly.
Great App! I really like OGT I really like the color coded speeds and the low profile notification. I like the stats and the graph options. It took me a bit of exploring the app to figure our how to turn it off, but it's in there (stop tracking). The first upload to breadcrumbs was tricky. The guide didn't work for me. I uploaded to breadcrumbs from breadcrumbs and used my file manager. Once that was done, it was very easy to upload from OGT. I would like to be able to Stop Tracking, then open the old track and Continue Tracking.
Crashes Missed a massive section of my trip for no reason (100's kms). Sometimes crashes but you wont know until you open the app.
Simple I like its simplicity compared to apps like runtastic which overwhelm you with things: But Google's Mytracks vastly surpasses it--more accurate, less buggy, constantly updated.
