Puzzling Poetry is a sliding game for poetry in which all words are replaced by visualizations. Can you reconstruct the poem as it was intended by Lucas Hirsch, Ruth Lasters, Miriam van Hee and Remco Campert?
Puzzling Poetry is Cinekid Applab-approved, the quality mark for apps stimulating the visual culture of young children and is received as the digital surprise of the ‘Frankfurter Buchmesse’ 2016.
Can you puzzle your way into poetry?
Poetry is, after all, a word puzzle. A puzzle for the poet and a puzzle for the reader. The game places poems in the play arena. The player works out the position of the words, the associations between them and the rhythm. This type of word play leads to a new, concentrated way of reading, in which the players recreate the poetry, as it were.
