Useless Useless. No support. No bug fixes. Lots of bugs. Don't use it.
A good start The English of the description needs an overhaul, and the app needs a "my location" option...
Need a UK version I like the idea of an automatic circular route generator. Would be great if developers could create a UK version for UK roads.
Works, but clunkily The Fietsersbond routeplanner makes the best cycle routes (better than Google Maps, in particular) because these routes are based on the most compete and accurate map data. However, the Android app is simply not user-friendly. Which means that it will not be used, since everyone has Google Maps which is a marvelously user-friendly alternative.
On the plus side, this route planner uses an excellent database of map data. The routes it generates are really good, IMO. If you create an account on the FB route planner website, you can save routes there and open them in the app. So far so good. But on minus side: 1. You need to retrieve a token from the web site to open your saved routes. This is really clunky. 2. The app doesn't work without an Internet connection. If you have installed it on a tablet without one (I am using a Nexus 7, which is the perfect format for use on a bicycle), you can load a saved route via WiFi. But the moment you swap to another app, this app forgets the current route and you are returned to the search screen again. This is really lame behaviour. 3. Worse, when the app doesn't have an Internet connection and you start it up, it forgets your token and you have to go back to the website again and retrieve it. In other words, it simply doesn't work offline, which is a really terribly shortcoming. To be useful, this app needs to be rewritten so that it works offline and remembers your login credentials indefinitely. I hope the good people at the Fietserbond are listening.
