About this app

This is Bergen Municipality's official PARKING APP for smartphones.

With this APP you can pay for parking at public parking spaces on the street. The public only pays the actual price, without additional costs.

Register the first time you open the APP, register a payment card and start parking. Make sure you use the correct tariff code (for example 6001, Sentrum express parking spaces). All vending machines and parking meters are marked with a valid tariff code. You can stop parking at any time and extend your parking time, but not beyond the max. parking time for the parking area. You only pay for the time you are parked, the amount you are charged is calculated when the time has expired or you stop parking yourself. You only pay for the time you are actually parked.

Try some of the functionality such as info about the parking areas, use GPS to see where you are. Look at the function for available spaces in parking lots and try the functions for info about parking lots and map directions to find your way. On the left you can pull up a menu, here you can, among other things, get a receipt sent to your email and see the terms and conditions for using the APP. Read the terms and conditions text as well.

For whatever reason it is not sending the confirmation code to my UK phone number. I have checked with my service provider and sent messages to and from myself from other phones and everything works. Without a fallback to eg email this renders the app unusable. So leaving a review (and can only provide 1 star) to bring this to the attention of the development team.

Doesn't seem to know the parking regulations? It will happily let you pay for parking also when it's free. Also requires BankID for payment card registration, so you can't install it when you need it unless you have the code device handy. No support for Google Wallet og Vipps, etc.

Terrible app. It cant stop sending you reminded about parking that has expired days or weeks ago. It just keep popping up over and over. Like most things from bergen kommune. Its not thought through and never works properly.
