About this game

Ordøya is a comprehensive learning game that is a good supplement in the first reading lesson. The game is made up of a tivoli consisting of three islands with many different attractions / tasks. The assignments focus on the amount training of the link between letters and letter sounds, as well as high-frequency words. High-frequency words are words that go more often than other words in the Norwegian language.

The word island is designed so that you can choose specific tasks according to the child's motivation and needs in that all the attractions are open. The individual attraction is designed to adhere to the child's level and skills. During the tasks, the child is also motivated to collect money that can be used for purchases in the stores on the islands.

Ordøya is an easy and intuitive game. It is developed by Pedagogical-Psychological Adviser (PPT) in cooperation with children and adolescents. And is also adapted in cooperation with children with reading and writing difficulties, as well as concentration and attention difficulties. The game fits well both for home and school.
