About this app

With the BankID app you can identify yourself, confirm payments and sign documents.

The app meets official security requirements and can be used to:
- Log in to public services and banks
- Sign binding documents electronically
- Confirm online payments
- Verify your identity at Vinmonopolet, Posten and PSS Securitas


Instead of using the one-time password from your code device, you rather approve requests directly in the app. The BankID-app is used together with your social security number and personal password.

To get started you need to have a BankID certificate issued by a bank.

Impossible to activate. I tried using code device, bank id on mobile and one time sms and email codes. All say that my bank does not support the app, which is wrong. I was notified that bank id on mobile will soon cost 0.99 per transaction but this app is free. Who will pay for this since the app doesn't work? Terrible experience. I am being forced to use an app that I don't want and that does not even work instead of a perfectly fine service.

This app is absolute garbage. The old "BankID on mobile" was orders of magnitude more user friendly and arguably more secure. Now we have to use passwords all the time, in addition to biometrics, TFA, etc. which means we have to change passwords to something quick and easy to type on a phone rather than something secure. A 10 character password utilizing both symbols, letters, mixed case characters will usually require 30 or more keypresses, which is obviously unacceptable.

I am being forced to use this, and it is immediately a catastrophe. When trying to do the "ID-check" the app got permanently stuck on a screen saying "An error occurred while connecting to the server. Check your internet connection and try again.". The developer says to activate NFC, which I thought was ridiculous because NFC has nothing to do with QR codes (or the error message the app gives me), but I tried it anyway, and predictably it still doesn't work and I get the exact same error message.
