Do I need an account or password?
No. You start with your email address, no traditional registration, no password. Your guests don't need an account either.

How secure is my wish list?
Wishbob stores data encrypted on GDPR-compliant EU servers. Your list is only visible to people with whom you actively share the link.

Ratings and reviews

I really like the idea of this app. Being able to see if people got you stuff off your list, kinda ruins the surprise imo. I only learned this after my daughter saw what I marked off her list. I also wish that Google was the main gift search instead of Amazon because it could pull up so many more items and sites to look through. Otherwise, I enjoyed using this for the first time this year. 😊

Works ok for the most part.. Unfortunately, it's internally set to be in ?German, and some websites automatically change to a .de weblink, which destroys the link entirely. It does not even link to the European equivalent of the product. I don't think I will continue to use the app, as I'm not able to post gifts from Canadian versions of websites. Also, if you edit the link later on, it will remove all information that you've previously typed, such as name and price, so be careful with that.

It's just the website, stuck in an app that isn't an app. Simpler to bookmark the site and make a home screen shortcut to it, no need for a separate "app" taking up space on my phone. But in fact there's more functionality and flexibility in my own list of URLs kept in a notepad app - that way I can categorise and arrange in folders, too. And share with anyone. And without giving anyone my email address for the privilege of doing so.
