The app gives you the opportunity to practice mindfulness with the help of guidance or guided silence.
In addition to exercises, the app also contains brief facts about mindfulness and the effects of meditation training. You will also find advice for training and tips on sitting and lying position, which are especially important to keep in mind.
In addition to this, there is a practical exercise part and a descriptive text for each exercise.
The exercise part consists of the following guided meditations:
1. Present in the body10 min
2. Present in respiration 8 min
3.1 Short mindfulness meditation 16 min
3.2 Long mindfulness meditation 21 min
4. Body scan 24 min
5. Silent breathing meditation 15-45 min
6. Silence with watches of any length
There are different settings to choose from.
• You can choose bells before and after the meditation exercise
If you want to be woken up after the exercise, you can set this
• You can choose to sit up or lie down
• In Exercise 5, there are words of support, such as reminders, to help you stay awake in silence.
Exercise 6 is Silence with only bells
• You choose the interval of the support words and the bells in exercises 5 and 6 and how long you want to sit
Mindfulness or conscious presence can be described as a state where we have our attention and our consciousness directed precisely in the situation we are in at the moment. It's an approach to life. Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh writes that we can learn to perceive the peace that exists around us and within us through meditation training. "It is not a matter of faith but of practice."

The app Mindfulness was developed by Specialist physiotherapist Helena Löwen-Åberg together with Develant Technologies AB. Helena runs her own clinic in Gothenburg and has extensive experience of clinical work with patients who have stress-related problems, tinnitus, anxiety, long-term pain, dizziness and difficulty sleeping.
