About this app

InBrowser is an incognito/private browser for Android with TOR and video support. Each time you exit InBrowser, everything you’ve done in the app will be erased, including history, cookies, and sessions. InBrowser is a feature rich browser, and it’s in permanent private mode.

Click on a video-link and an in-app video player will play the video. Any trace of this is removed when you exit the app.

InBrowser’s tabbed browsing feature has the ability to quickly switch between several open webpages within a single browsing session.

For Adobe Flash-support, ensure that you have the appropriate flash-plugins installed and that your device supports Flash. InBrowser will not provide Flash out of the box, but it does support Flash-content.

Notice that Orbot is required for TOR to work. Orbot is made by the Tor Project and you can download it for free on Google Play, just search for “orbot” and download the one made by “The Tor Project”.

Ratings and reviews

(Another update, and a worse experience. Now takes 5 seconds to load, and the voice search is ridiculous. You can't pause in speaking, or it'll search before you're done saying what you want to say. Really clumsy, not an improvement) (UPDATE: The new update fixed my concern. Thanks!) Has started asking for me to allow InBrowser to send me notifications every time I open it. I say no, it asks me the next time. Very annoying, and unnecessary.

Have used this for many years. Used to be a great app, but this new update is making it difficult to use. It's buggy and needs features that were removed and some that were never there. Videos don't flip properly when rotating the phone. There is a resolution issue where websites are not adjusting to the mobile screen size properly, requiring side scrolling. It needs the ability to use SD card storage, and rename downloaded files. Needs to minimize & clear browser when locking screen again.

In trying to give it a facelift, they've ruined it. First, screen rotation/fullscreen functionality went sideways. They then revamped the entire app, which did bring back the orientation functionally but at the cost of the browser not knowing when to display a mobile vs desktop site + being incapable of knowing the difference. Video playback is also broken, now producing errors about the content not being playable. Clearly, not very thorough testing was done in the most recent update.

This version includes a completely new look-and-feel including a new app icon, new screen design, new colors etc. Also included is a new onboarding flow to get new users up and running.

We're also proud to introduce the Tornado - a cool new feature that deletes all current app data at the touch of an icon.

The release also contains bug fixes including the screen rotation issue some of you have been encountering.
