I highly recommend Speaking Email to anyone who is looking for ways to affordably multitask. Being able to access and listen to emails while driving, etc. is an amazing time saver. The app itself is simple to use and has a host of preference features, allowing the user to easily customize his or her experience.

This app does not deserve it's lack luster rating. It has a feature rich verbal command set and the voice recognition is quite good. There is a learning curve, just like using any new technology. If the user is for a sight impaired individual, I suggest that a companion become familiar with the s/w before giving it to that individual. It can be frustrating when the app asks for a command and the user doesn't know what to do. With a little patience and help from an experienced friend, it can be valuable assistance to the visually impaired.

I like it. I was out on the highway and received several very complicated emails (in tiny print) and thought, now is the time to get an email reader. So, I pulled over, Googled email readers, and found this one. So, I downloaded it and drove off letting it read to me. The voice sounds computerish (as it should), but it worked well and was very clear. One suggestion: It would be great if it also read web pages. It would be helpful when I have a long article or kindle book on the road and it could read the article to me. Put that on your list of upcoming R&D. But even without that, Speaking Email is a nice product and I like it a lot.
