Worth the effort Overall a great idea and it definitely could have been better executed. The app takes a discouragingly long time to load, often doesn't adjust your position on the map as you move around, and will crash just as you're going to collect a pin. But I got 10gb of data to enjoy over the next year and had fun driving around to all the gold pins.
Good concept, app needs refining Liked the idea, similar to Pokémon in relation to using camera VR. Congrats on gamifying mobile data! Update has made it better, but still slow to load (I'm on S7). Managed to collect 9.8 Gb, so that's great. Last 5 stops a lot less generous on the gift, so maybe slowing up the 10Gb max?
Love this app, looking and grabbing da datas, lots of fun. Been to a few different cities hunting for data. But not happy with todays hunt. Was in town going to get a yellow pin today, clicked on da Lets Go button when I was close, da app suddenly shuts itself down, when i go back into it, it says l've got it, but I got nothing...
Started off alright but now.... So I started my data hunt off on my S4 and it was working awesome! Then I upgraded to a P9 Plus which started off fine but now it's gone to s**t! When I first uploaded on my new phone it was working sweet as but now it doesn't pick up the pins! Annoying much, when my S4 picks the pin up as soon as it's in the radius and my P9 Plus won't pick it up and I'm practically on top of the pin!!! Love the concept of the app but please fix asap and I will change my rating! Cheers.
Worst app I have never been able to make it past the first loading screen. The bar doesn't even load! Sometimes it just resorts to "cant reach survers". I have a new Samsung S7 with up to date software on it. Terrible.
Definitely depends on phone. My Samsung (v) was more miss than hit. When it loaded would at times not show map correctly and often wouldn't load at all. So used my work phone (J5) and no issues. Finished today after 57 locations as hit limit. Had fun.
The inaugural Data Hunting season has gripped NZ with up to 70,000 people catching over 15 million megabytes of data already. But we’re not stopping there, we’ve made a bunch of improvements and squished some bugs so it’s easier for you to track and capture data across the country:
