BetterSTR TV turns a TV or streaming device in a short-stay rental into a simple, branded guest home screen. Instead of a generic launcher, guests arrive to a clean welcome screen with everything they need for their stay in one place.

Designed for hosts and property managers running Airbnb, holiday homes, motels, lodges and serviced apartments, BetterSTR TV is set up by the host and shows each guest the right information for the property they're staying in.

What guests see:
• A personalised welcome with check-in and check-out details
• The property's digital guidebook — house rules, appliance guides, local tips and check-out instructions
• One-tap Wi-Fi: scan a QR code to join the network instantly
• Local weather and nearby activities
• Quick tiles to their favourite streaming apps (guests sign in to their own accounts)
• Live TV where available

What hosts get:
• A consistent, on-brand home screen across every TV in their portfolio
• A dashboard to manage devices, set the property guidebook, choose which app tiles appear, and order them
• Optional on-screen messages for important notices (for example, severe-weather alerts)
• Hosts who run their own Plex media server can link it to show their own Movies and TV Shows libraries on the guest TV

BetterSTR TV is built for managed hospitality displays. To keep the guest experience consistent, the app runs as the device's home screen and returns there after other apps are closed. This home-screen behaviour uses Android's Accessibility
service; it is used only to keep the app in place as the launcher and does not collect, store or share any personal or sensitive data.

A property/account is required — this app is provided to guests by participating hosts as part of their stay
