I just downloaded the app. I wanted a ride today, got notification that the driver was 10 minutes away. As I waited, I got another notification that driver was canceled. I did that with a second and third driver, both 10 minutes away, then both canceled. In the end, after wziting for nearly 20 minutes, I opted for another alternative. It was unreliable for a first try.

The app by and large is quite good however there are some issues. Mine is provided by work for when I travel. Every time I go to Christchurch there are no cabs at the taxi rank. You can't book a cab as the app says to hop in the nearest one. You can't call the cab company as they say you have to use the app to book. They make the assumption that there will be a cab there but it is filled with a competing company that I can't use.

Never again!! Booked 2 days in advance for 6.30am ride to airport from Wgtn CBD. Received 2 notifications at 6.20am! One to say taxi has been dispatched & the other said no taxi available. Checked the app to see my booking was cancelled. Called Wgtn Combined direct & got a taxi within 10mins, as I did the evening before. Better, faster & cheaper than using this app. Good example of why "middle men" like YourRide are pointless & unnecessary garbage.
