With more than 3,000 tracks, huts and campsites across Aotearoa, every destination comes with information about what to expect as well as reviews and photos from Plan My Walk's awesome outdoor community, customisable gear lists, weather forecasts and warnings, and alert updates so you stay in the know!
Just add your trip dates and click to send, and everyone you need to tell about where you’re going and when you’ll be back will have the information they need to check that you’ve arrived back safely.

Ratings and reviews

The search feature isn't always the best - would be good to be able to select how youre searching (eg name of track, location or even "within xx km of where I am' would be an amazing feature) because often if I'm trying to enter in the location of where I am I get a list of tracks from all over the country that have a similar name... Im not always familiar with the names of nearby areas so it gets confusing. Most of the time it's fine for what I need.

Excellent app that provides me with what I needed- map,how to get there, weather, opening status, users review. Would be even better if the map would allow GPS tracking to see if we are on track.

keeps logging me out after the latest update. Selecting dates when planning trips is very poorly designed and is a nightmare to get it working. it took 15 min to book the same date for a day trip. just kept trying until it worked. some of the tracks are also wrong and don't connect on the map making some plans impossible. Had a track trying to send me back down the same track and adding 3 hours to my plan because they were wrong on the map. Gave up on that in the end.
