Oil Palm Crop Doctor is a mobile app that provides technical information on oil palm cultivation, both directly and expeditiously from a technology development company. You can search and find what you want from the information or data stored in this app. This will enable the farmer / customer to send their queries to ICAR-IIOPR and get the required information immediately. This app has four parts. (i) Nutrient deficiencies, worms and pests (ii) Fertilizer count (iii) Inquiry and (iv) Oil palm cultivation videos. This app has a side menu. It displays about Home, Oil Palm Crop Doctor, contact address and logout options.
Oil palm crop begins with the doctor's (installation) registration process. In this, farmers / consumers enter their mobile number and email on the login page. After completing the registration, the launch screen of the app, then the dashboard screen will appear. It has four options. They are nutritional deficiencies, worms and pests; Fertilizer calculation; Inquiry and Oil Palm Cultivation Videos. Nutritional Defects, Worms and Pests Module Oil Palm displays related photos of nutrient defects, worms and pests. As soon as the specific photo is selected it informs about the relevant nutritional deficiencies, worms and pest characteristics and ownership practices. The option to watch the desired video clip is also available.
Fertilizer Calculator (Calculation) module calculates the amount of fertilizer to be applied based on the fertilizer selected by the farmer and indicates the amount to be applied per tree / acre / hectare.
Messages can be sent to ICAR-IIOPR through an option called Inquiry to clear up any doubts regarding oil palm cultivation. Photo, audio and video can be attached to this message. IIOPR answers these questions.
Short video images on oil palm cultivation are made available to the user to view the recommended methods.
An internet connection is required during the registration of the app (installation) and at the time of sending the inquiry to clear the doubt. All other options allow the app to work offline (without internet).
