Oké-what? Okérico, what is this word? It's unique, just like the people in the farming community! Ok: Are you OK? A question we want people in the farming community to ask themselves every day. Cock-a-doodle-doo: a reference to the rooster's crow, the quintessential symbol of rural life, the protective animal of the barnyard, acting as a preventative measure against danger. Rico: a Spanish word meaning "rich," rich in the land, rich in its values, rich enough to ensure the farm's sustainability, a word borrowed from the language spoken by the foreign workers who came to lend a hand on our farms. Our farmers work hard and often forget about themselves. Okérico reminds them that they are at the heart of the farm. Okérico: a healthy mind for a healthy land!
