Works just fine Don't listen to those who say the app doesn't work, they obviously don't know you have to manually connect it via Bluetooth.
Would be a decent app, IF it worked! I just received my Sphero 2.0 in the mail today, and I was so excited to try out the different apps for it... so far I haven't tried them all, but my Sphero works very well with the regular Sphero app... This app, not so much. It will let me connect, aim the taillight, and do the test roll, but when I try to drive it around, it will go about a foot, and then lose connection, at which point it flashes it's name colors (W,O,G in my case)...3 of the 5 times I tried, half of the app also went dark then crashed.
Reviews I am NOT particularly fond of this app. But can we leave the reviews to the app itself and not to the product? I see many reviews telling people not to buy the sphero but whether not you like sphero has nothing to do with the app. I have found apps that work perfectly I have a Sony Xperia Z1 and have no glitches no loss of connection and no trouble starting up. I have tried this with a coworkers iPhone and seem to the connection issues you were talking about in the negative reviews, poor control and even at a few feet away disconnecting while driving. Review should be going to iPhone compatibility not sphero or the app. If you just thing sphero sucks please don't rate the app developer low, stick that review right on the sphero sight and include what kind of phone you tried it with (FYI my Z1 tablet works perfect with it too even though the apps say designed for phones)
Disconnected Everytime I connect the ball to my mobile Nexus 5 the App stop and some app say your ball require an update I don't know how to update it I go to the website nothing mention about this the only app I can use gulf app please help me to change my right also when I connect the ball it shows that I connect voice device
Crashes all the time Fresh out of the box. Can't get past the test phase, app shuts down
perfect! so much better than the full app. this one is fast, simple and does exactly what it should: drive. the full app is unusably slow, hard to control and full of useless gimmickry.
*** Added "Multi-Ball" mode ***
This is an experimental feature that allows you to drive multiple balls around at the same time. Simply select each ball from the connection screen and then press DONE!
To aim each ball, you can use the regular two finger rotation gesture to aim each ball individually or you can use the group calibrate button and align each ball by hand.
Also in this release:
• Fix for a crash that would happen after renaming a ball from the Sphero app
This app is design for remote control claptrap through wi-fi.
