Great app, it does all the math for me and keeps me on track. ONE THING I wish it had is the ability to add alcohol free days to my goal and daily limits. For instance, I'd like to set a goal of no more than 16 standard drinks a week, no more than 4 drinks in a day and 3 alcohol free days. Right now I can set the weekly consumption goal but when I drink 4 drinks in a day it says I did 200% of my goal, which I didnt. It still is helpful for me to see the log, I just would also like the reporting to be accurate for my goal.
Absolutely great. Lightweight, fast, flexible, reliable. I love the fact that it exports my data - both my drink presets and my consumption log - as files which are easily opened in a spreadsheet. This app feels like it was written by engineers and scientists. But it's still easy for anyone to use. The Drink Presets feature allows you to "collect" drinks. Using beers as an example, it's quick and easy to add a new beer you've just tried, allowing you to keep a log of every different beer. (There's no option to rate how you liked each beer, this app is geared towards harm reduction.) Since cigarettes and alcohol seem to go hand-in-hand, I've added Drink Presets like "000-Cigarette"; each cigarette is entered as a 1mL drink with 0.1% alcohol at $0.40 each, allowing me to track each cigarette I smoke as I drink. The "000-Cigarette" name keeps it at the top of the list of presets I've created. You can pin your favorite drinks to the main screen for instant access. Conveniently, your last drink also pins to the main screen, so you can tap again to instantly add another beer from that 6-pack of craft beer you just tried. What information is shared outside my phone?
Great app. I was an idiot, got a dui and now have an interlock ignition device in my vehicle. With this app I can monitor my bac and I can gauge how much and when I should stop drinking for the night so I can start my car to go to work in the am.
This is a good app for tracking what you're drinking but is way off with it's estimate of when you're legal to drive. Having prior education on how long it takes for alcohol to leave your system, this app suggested I could drive 6 hours too early. I know it's only a 'guide' but this is way off so people need to know this.
FANTASTIC APP. Simple and intuitive providing great insights into harmful drinking behaviour. The insights are so thorough that despite being able to export the data for analysis in Excel (or another external system), I find that the insights within the app are more than sufficient (and I'm a Data Scientist - my life is importing and analysing data, so I'm almost disappointed that there was nothing to improve upon in this regard.) Suggestions for future release (maybe extra features in a paid version - take my money now!) - 1. Tracking of other substances. Allow user-customized non-alcohol fields for tracking other factors. For example I might choose to add customised fields to track my use of anti-anxiety medications, sleep quality, work hours, my own daily stress rating, SGF (Spouse Grumpiness Factor - a major determinant of drinking - actually not a joke.) Just being able to add in our own customized fields and see them overlaid on the drinking data would be very insightful. I understand the complex changes to your insights charts and data displays - but at least a Data Scientist like me could draw some conclusions from exported data. I would pay for this as an extra feature. I noticed somebody else also tracks smoking as a low-strength drink so I'm sure you would find interest out there. 2. Cost tracking based on container. Two new fields such as : Container Size ans Container Cost. Use scenario : tonight I drank 3 x 100 ml drinks from the leftover $25 750ml bottle of shiraz and 150ml from a $12 two-litre carton of the cooking wine. I want a quick way to calculate the proportional cost of each drink. As the next drink is likely to be a similar quantity from the same size and price container as the last, this would make cost tracking even easier when drinking at home or maybe sharing pitchers.
Been using it for months now. Super easy to use and really quick to record drinks. Highly recommend!
Document your alcohol consumption and find out if he's okay!
