One of the best Launchers!!! Works even with Android 5.1. None of the launchers as customizable this one. One have to spend some time for configuration and enjoy it till the end of time. It has all those teachers which are missing between IPHone, Windows Phone, Android .... There are somethings that wont work at the very first touch but its not because of ADW but because of Android itself which is as buggy as Windows Millennium, if you remember that one ;-) No offenses Google Team, you had started so good but now a days .... I pray for you to return for what you have started with.
Performance Update? I'm a firm supporter of the EX version (since Gingerbread if I'm not mistaken, currently running 4.4.2). The only downside is that it hasn't been updated in nearly a year now. If nothing else, it would be nice to receive a performance update for newer versions of Android. We who paid support the developer so the developer should continue to support us. An update would merit 5 stars.

Updates Almost 4 years without updates. Why? I thought that the new app which free, is upgradable to pro. But instead I see in the feautures "EX" only. This means that whoever wants extra features must go to this app here that it's 3.5 years without updates. What is going on? It makes no sense. Luckily even without updates this app still works. I am on the Note7 v6.0.1 But get your act together please

Hi Glad to see that the best launcher is still in development, new website, 2.0 on the way :) you will make many people happy. Just a request, I see you have implemented a categories to the app drawer, please, please please do not remove the tabbed categories that i use now in adw ex, they are a very quick and efficient way to move between groups of apps. Looking forward to seeing the new app.

Good but not perfect Nice launcher. Smooth and fast. Have been using it for a long time. However, there is a bug related to widgets in the current version. It always goes back to the stock launcher When I exit from the gmail widget. Another thing I wish ADW could include in a future update is the recent app action. Using a swipe up gesture to show recent apps would be so intuitive and convenient. Nova and action launchers both can do this.

One of the best Using this launcher both on Android 2.3 and 4.2 and I could hardly ask for more, feature-wise. Sadly there hasn't been an update for quite a while. If the developer decides to release an update I wish it would allow for customizing font attributes on the home screen AND in the app tray. Thanks

Bought this for my Motorola Electrify M. Loved, loved, loved it! So customizable and sleek looking, compared to the clunky Motorola Jelly Bean UI. Looked gorgeous while it worked. Tried to implement it on my upgraded Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, which has a UI that isn't quite in desperate a need of being customized, but ADWLauncher EX didn't want to remain the default long enough for me to even customize it at all. I knocked a star off for that.
Awesome Launcher This is an awesome launcher. Bought it few hrs back and I have been playing with it since then. I had installed lot of other launchers but as they slowed down my mobile, I had to uninstall them in a few days. But after I installed this launcher I was able to customize my phone a lot without impacting the performance. I wish they also had a lock screen to go with their launcher.
Developers abandoned us! After 5 years with ADW Ex, it just won't do anymore. It hasn't been updated in years. There are such easy improvements to be made that would keep me happy, but this app has no support from its developers, and out of principle, I have to switch to something else, for that reason.
Update incoming! Despite the lack of updates, it still runs surprisingly well on my devices running Lollipop or Marshmallow. There are some issues with Lollipop (also depending upon the base framework - eg. Touchwiz has more issues than my stock). Some other tweaks/bug fixes would be appreciated (eg. transparent notification bar)..
Great app; just can't say enough I used to use GoLauncher and this is miles better. I have been using this for about 6 months or more and I do *not* miss GoLauncher. This one is a bit different (of course) but it takes little-to-no time to learn the ins and outs of ADW EX because it's very user-friendly. I forget that I am using this app because it is *that* good! It has a lot of options and I have nothing but good things to say about ADWLauncher EX! DROID X
Seems abandoned, updates require repurchase. The main ADW Launcher received an update, after 5 years, to 2.0 beta. There is a new in app purchase option for users of ADW Launcher 2.0 beta to upgrade to ex. However, existing ex owners are required to repurchase in order to unlock full functionality again. It might not be an issue for some, but at least now you know this is the developers business model. Had I known that application updates would require repurchase of the application, I may have chosen differently in the past.
Still one fantastic launcher Since early times adw has been a great launcher and now on android 4+ it stands out from the others and once set up nicely it is one amazing launcher. Just take the time to set it up well and you won't find a more engaging experience from a home screen. Love this app as always since about 4 years ago I think!.
Incredible transitions and customization! This is an awesome launcher for customization. There are so many options and a ton of screen transitions! I'm constantly finding cool things to change. The only downside I've found is that when going through advanced settings some options when checked appear to cause a crash. For example, I enabled the preset "fast" under advanced and when I hit home it showed the crash popup. However the preset still took so I'm not sure the problem isn't just with the crash reporter. Amazing otherwise!
Missing some features I mean, for a paid customisable launcher, I should be able to customise my icons from a pre fitted icons, why should crop an image for that? The dock is another issue, if I can disable it, why can't I simply fit the screen to use all the space left after disabling the dock? Otherwise very good app. Please add these features to next update.
Great launcher but... Needs to support portrait wallpaper. There is really no excuse for a paid launcher forcing me to crop my wallpaper of Choice. Please update this as quickly as possible. Aside from this one issue, I'm extremely happy with the app. Best launcher on market. I've removed one star and won't give it back until I get my portrait support.
Best launcher ever! Customization options are superb. Easy to use. Easy to customize and plenty of themes. Love it. My only complaint is not being able to label folders like you can with stock jelly bean. If there's a way to implement folder naming or labeling, that would make this the perfect launcher!
Best launcher ever! A samsung device user. From the second I opened my device, I hated the TouchWiz UI that was on it. I tried a whole lot of other launchers but this was the best so far. It gives a whole new look and feel to your desktop. Love it! I'd totally give it a 10 star if I could.
Not worth my time.. Used to be great.. Now crashes all the time.. Emails to support go unanswered and crash reports now getting bounced back due to mailbox being over quota, so apparently product has been abandoned after they made some money off of it. Sad.
Aaaaaargh! I hate the update. My home screen, perfected over 3 years and 3 phones is now stuffed. Can't be bothered to start again, uninstalling. I hate the new app/widget picker, how can you have so many customizable features and not be able to disable it?! Crap, I wish I'd not had auto update ticked. So annoying, I'm gutted. Have emailed dev to ask for the old version.
Minor flaws but very well designed. My only gripe with this app is that there is no way to reset the default home app so you can re-apply adw if something goes weird after an OS update. Other than that I'm very happy with it!
TIME FOR AN UPDATE!! OK, ADW.... IT'S TIME FOR AN UPDATE!!! I've stuck by your product for years but you are falling behind with keeping the app up to date!! Time to put your team to work so your can keep up with your competition. Let's make this baby faster with better options. I'm dropping your rating due to lack your lack of work on the app. I paid for one of the best launchers on the market and that's what I expect to have. TIME TO GET BACK TO WORK!!
A Lot to like, very little to dislike. I love the scrolling effects. I'vr tried just about every Launcher. For these type of Launchers, (Nova, Apex, Holo) I'd put Nova slightly ahead because its smoother. You can't go wron with ADW tho. Very nice.
Nice update. Have been looking forward to this update for a long time. Once I uninstalled then reinstalled many of my issues resolved. The preset configurations are nice, took a while to find where to reduce icon sizes. Still crashing once in a while. Looking forward to more updates, fixes and kitkat features.
Abandoned App? I've used ADW and ADW EX for the last three years on as many phones. It's a top notch home application. I'd have a hard time even suggesting new features let alone improvements. The low rating is due the fact I cannot send a bug report to the dev. Emails are returned with the indication that their email account is over capacity. This condition has persisted for several months now. I do not recommend installing this app unless you do not expect any improvements or support.
Very disappointed that after purchasing the full version I discovered that there would be no updates past July 27, 2013. Do not waste your time with this. Nova is so much better and it's supported by the developer. UPDATE: ADW 2.0 is coming but it remains to be seen if those of us that purchased this will be forced to repurchase it... which I will not be doing. So far, the crippled ADW 2.0 beta can not compete with the free version of Nova.
Using this app since 5 years now I have a desperate request to please make notification panel transparent. It looks so old fashioned when a black strip is seen. I know one can hide it by gesture. But believe me transparent notification strip would look gorgeous. I use Samsung Galaxy s5 with Android 5.0 installed in it. Though i love this app already, as i have been using it since 5 years now. Would love and appreciate ur efforts if my request is worked upon
Where'd you go? Been over a year since your last update. Is there no longer support for your launcher? Should I be looking for a newer fresher replacement? Touchwiz fell behind the times too, that's why I went adw! Throw us a bone here!
Has Potential It seems to have lots of bugs. I have a Droid razr HD and it made my phone run choppy. Icons would move to easily and sometimes disappear. I loved the customization of it though. If it were as smooth running as the stock desktop I'd give 5 stars.
It used to be a awesome app, but there are some issues.... I used to be a die hard ADW fan, until recently upgrading to a Samsung Galaxy S3 running JellyBean 4.1.2. After installing ADW and shutting down or restarting the phone, the default setting to load ADW doesn't stick and it asks me every time to choose either ADW or Touchwiz. I choose always every time and it doesn't remember it. I even went into application manager and tried to clear defaults on Touchwiz, but it doesn't have that option and is greyed out. I believe this to be an issue with ADW that should be addressed, if anyone else is experiencing this issue, please speak up. The developer always responds to bugs and provides fixes in a timely manner, as I am sure he will do in this case.
Broken on S3 Completely broken on S3. After using for a year it just broke one day and wont load. Absolutely no support from the dev here! His email box is always full and bounces crash reports. BAD DEV! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!
Best Launcher Around Hands down the best Launcher on the market. I have used over 20 other launchers and no other has the customization and functions that this does. You can even resize widgets… The best part ADW is how light it is on your RAM. Try it, it's great!
Still love this launcher I've been using this app for a long time now and still love using it on both my phone and tablet. Can't say I've ever experienced any issues with it. It has a great back up feature which is essential for flasherholics :-)
Saved my bacon Thanks. Bought a Lenovo tablet, which I love, but the Launcher is silly. Saves apps directly onto the desktop, not into an "apps store" on the device. So, if you remove something from the desktop, you uninstall the app - crazy. Was going to send back the tablet to QVC, then remembered that I used to use ADW on my Archos tablets, so installed it on my Lenovo. Perfect.
Lack of updates No updates for some time now. I'd like to see options for "ok Google" listening and Google now page like the Google Home Launcher. Is this even being developed or supported anymore? edit... Nov 2014 Still no updates... Dropped another star.
GN2 User Uninstalled latest update 1.3.3.9 on my GN2 due to erratic behavior, strolling delays and hanging and dock sticks, force closure, non responsive, or late response, can not use now, was a wonderful product, please fix. (reinstalled 1.3.3.8 working fine)
Why I don't pay for apps anymore! This is a perfect example of why I don't pay for apps anymore. You have no idea how long they will be supported and on what device. This is just one of many apps I have bought that are either dead or don't work on a device upgrade. It's ridiculous with the device upgrade cycle of mobile devices that a app can fall out of support within 2 or 3 years.
In my Top 5 list of launchers... I quit using ADW when it didn't play nice with my Droid. I want try it again but I see there hasn't been an update in almost two years. I hope the developer is okay as it appears further development has completely stopped. I hope it's because he has more exciting things going on in his life and that he'll return when he can... He has devoted so much time and effort into all aspects of this launcher and it will be such a shame if it's abandoned...
I love it but it on a while to get used to it The appdrawer has a well organized categorical design and I live that you can add shortcuts for each category!!! ADW has changed quite a bit since I used it with my S3. But if you give it some time and get used to it, it's the best launcher currently available. I've tried so many of them... I'd say I've tried at least 95% of the launchers out there and this is the only one that doesn't include bloatware but still gives any customizations you'd want.
ADW was once my one & only But after years on my old dInc I finally updated to a N4 and things just don't display correctly. Since it's no longer maintained I'll have to look elsewhere.
