Slows phone to a crawl over time I've used this launcher for over two years. My first phone died, but slowed to a crawl as it died. My replacement (brand new) phone worked quick for awhile, but it too slowed to a crawl over time. There's only three features I need from this that I'll miss: 1) Remove unneeded home screens (silly old Droid 4 doesn't let you do that stock) 2) Swipe down anywhere on the screen to access notifications - gesture support on home screen. I've come to rely on this. 3) Lock screens so you can't move things.
WAS a really big fan, but the last update sucks Sorry guys, i've had to do a bunk from using your launcher since the last update. I've got stock ROM non rooted, sony xperia T running JellyBean. Sicne the update i noticed the phone heating up, the battery draining a lot quicker than usual and towards the end, unable to use my phone in normal mode as soon as it booted into the laucnher, the phone would restart itself. Using a CPU and TEMP app, i could see it was 99% most of the time and the heat increasing every minute until it rebooted. Lots of diags we're done, including wiping and starting over fresh and reloading it back on done the same. I've since started again and using a different launcher and no issues to report. A bit gutted as i was a big fan, but until this is sorted, i'll be staying away.
It used to be a awesome app, but there are some issues.... I used to be a die hard ADW fan, until recently upgrading to a Samsung Galaxy S3 running JellyBean 4.1.2. After installing ADW and shutting down or restarting the phone, the default setting to load ADW doesn't stick and it asks me every time to choose either ADW or Touchwiz. I choose always every time and it doesn't remember it. I even went into application manager and tried to clear defaults on Touchwiz, but it doesn't have that option and is greyed out. I believe this to be an issue with ADW that should be addressed, if anyone else is experiencing this issue, please speak up. The developer always responds to bugs and provides fixes in a timely manner, as I am sure he will do in this case.
Lolly-love-able After rooting my note3 lolly update, i wanted a lightweight speedy launcher for my phone. I had ******* premium and was dissapointed it just didnt seem as custumizable as before so this one is the one i chose. No ads, nothing, no crashes either after remedying those two by freezing them thru titanium..the thing is so light i plug in my charger after almost 2 days of light usage. Why didnt i use your launcher earlier?
Good but not perfect Nice launcher. Smooth and fast. Have been using it for a long time. However, there is a bug related to widgets in the current version. It always goes back to the stock launcher When I exit from the gmail widget. Another thing I wish ADW could include in a future update is the recent app action. Using a swipe up gesture to show recent apps would be so intuitive and convenient. Nova and action launchers both can do this.
Great app; just can't say enough I used to use GoLauncher and this is miles better. I have been using this for about 6 months or more and I do *not* miss GoLauncher. This one is a bit different (of course) but it takes little-to-no time to learn the ins and outs of ADW EX because it's very user-friendly. I forget that I am using this app because it is *that* good! It has a lot of options and I have nothing but good things to say about ADWLauncher EX! DROID X
