Great Auto ''scanner or printer '' detector option would be great to add to settings to establish a connection, otherwise for novices its just gonna be a useless app
Can anyone who's familiar with the setup explain how to configure your scanner with the sane site? Obviously the developer is too much of a coward tho stand behind his product. Can anyone give some insight in the reviews?
missing backend config UI elements DPI is set in app settings not in scan page. No apparent way to set scanning output folder. No way to pass xinetd / inetd a username. No landscape (for tablet) UI
Cannot Rate. Not described in laymen terms, but you MUST have the SANE Service running on a Linux PC, not Windows, and connected to (Hosting) the scanner in order for app to work. Not what I'm looking for. I have a stand alone All-In-One Printer/Scanner. SANEDroid has a fewer features, but will work without a server for a network printer/scanner/copier.
Great app Very simple and clean. It does what you would expect from a SANE client. No ads! There are some things that the app lacks - higher dpi option available, and a "save to" popup when a scan is finished
Insane scanner I don't know what I use it for. May be espionage?
Fixed some crashes when wrong color mode selected.
You can test the new app against our server. In your configuration, set the server to "avmedia.org". You should see a test color pattern - only color mode is supported. (we may disable this service if the data traffic becomes too big). BTW, the our test SANE backend runs on Raspberry PI device.
