Tumorpedia Lite, Handy Mobile Tool for Bone Tumors Tumorpedia Lite is a fantastic tool for obtaining information on musculoskeletal tumors, right at the patient's bedside. One common aspect of cancer is that patients are reluctant to wait for tests to confirm their diagnosis. With Tumorpedia, a doctor on rounds or even a resident who is in training can use his/her android to provide all the information that the patient needs to know. What's more, this app carries information that can be used by medical students and doctors along with other health professionals. The software is easy to use and provides accurate information when a doctor needs it the most – at the point of care. The application is also handy and has excellent illustrations that explain various modes of treatment. Since a mobile android device can fit into a physician's pocket, this revolutionizes how patients can receive top notch care with the latest information on bone tumors. This is also a 'must-have' app for podiatrists, nurses, and others who are part of the patient care delivery. Most likely, the tumor information contained in Tumorpedia is an unmatched resource because it is not available elsewhere.
Ok for a first release Covers the most important tumors from the website (haven't checked if the the text is correct, but they boast evidence based info). Images need to be bigger and zoomable and they need to retain correct aspect ratio. The app needs to put all its data on the SD card - currently it takes up 14 mb of in-phone memory and can't be moved to SD, so i have to delete it again to have a working phone...
