A Brightid is a personal identifier that allows you to receive rights and benefits based on your ability to prove that you're a unique person.*
Unlike a government identifier such as a Social Security Number, a BrightID is self-issued and verified by close friends or relatives. Personal data is not shared with a central organization.
To become verified and receive a BrightID score, make connections and form groups with the people you already know well. Groups are usually small (3-10 people) and are used only for verification. To learn more, read the BrightID whitepaper: https://www.brightid.org/whitepaper .
Your BrightID has an associated score which represents your likelihood of being a unique person in the network. BrightID holders join groups and make connections to increase their scores.

The app takes time to update, up to a day for some things, but otherwise works very well and it opens up a hole new world of possibilities now. When it is widespread, it will become indispensible!

Its a good app for identity verification, however,the recovery process is tedious and the rules are not known. Must the two social recovery connections use the same link at the same time or different link at the same time? Also after moving to the next stage,it keeps rolling without giving space to enter password

Idkw but I put doing this off for 3 yrs. Finally got it done today. I was so stupid not wanting to do a zoom call. I just am not that smart so it's hard for me to connect with people. Anywho, glad I finally got it done. Although an hour later and it's still not verified
